I've read the same. Her now Chief of Staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, started "Justice Democrats" PAC after working for Bernie Sanders. One of his heros is Subhas Chandra Bose, an East Indian anti-colonial socialist, who dreamed of a nazi-communist government for India, by whatever means necessary.
The Justice Democrats also aligned with the "Young Turks". Between them they fronted a couple of hundred Congressional candidates last election, intent on gaining a foothold in the institution for eventual takeover, but only AOC succeeded. The group interviewed potential candidates for the "job" ... I don't know if they were selecting for actors or for politicians or for something else.
Saikat Chakrabati formed several legal entities with names similar to Justice Democrats PAC and is under investigation for funneling money to them to avoid compliance with Federal Election Laws. But, he's on the side of the lawless and exempt Democrats, so he's not likely to suffer any consequences.
