The U.S. attorney assigned to investigate the origins of the Russia probe as part of the Spygate effort to depose POTUS Donald Trump is asking the right questions as his investigation into the corruption of the FBI and Justice Department under the Obama administration.
In addition, Fox News reported Saturday, attorney John Durham has met several times with Attorney General William Barr as the probe continues apace, making Democrats nervous and, some would say, panicky.
In particular, Durham a corruption specialist is digging into the FBIs use of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court warrants to spy on a member of the 2016 Trump campaign, warrants that were obtained, it appears, through fraudulent representation of the bogus Steele Dossier, a pack of unsubstantiated lies passed off to the court by James Comeys bureau as legitimate intelligence.

This revealed the attorney general is probing a second scandal of the Obama administration related to the 2016 presidential election.

The scope and depth of the scandals and corruption in the Obama administration (and the attempts to block information by the FBI and other agencies) is such that it will take a long time to fully expose it all. The number of people involved, the complexity of the conspiracy against Trump, the Hillary Clinton email fiasco, and the political weaponization of federal agencies are all going to take time to unravel. Its going to be the mother of all investigations.
Clearly the biggest set of related scandals ever to occur in the nation’s history.
While I want to keep an open mind, Wrays statements in public have not given me much faith that he is committed to daylight about the actions of his predecessor. I firmly believe that he is doing MORE harm to the FBI by not ripping off the band-aid and correctly pointing out that it was a small group at the top of the organization that did this, were played by our intelligence community (IC) and partisans at the state department, and that our IC used our allies to push the same information to a willing top floor at FBI HQ.

I hope Barr’s report highlights the obstruction to his investigation along the lines of what you said.
Question is how much of the info they request is actually being received from various corrupt agencies. ditto for the declass.
o when Durham asks for a document, he probably already has it, unofficially - but he wants it officially.

Good point.
Wray is so arrogantly stupid he probably doesn’t realize this.
every request will be delayed by several months or longer under the guise of the careful declassification process

Since Barr is the Attorney General of the United States and the DOJ is the parent agency of the FBI that excuse shouldn’t hold water. Barr can basically see anything he wants to see.
After making a monumental mistake hiring Sessions, I think Trump is hesitant to admit that he mad another mistake by hiring Wray.
And this is where I've concluded that nothing is going to happen. Let me explain - what is the primary difference between normal people and (historical) leaders? I'll give you a hint: if you express sentiments such as, I want to be left alone from government interference, why are we engaged in endless foreign wars, or why is the US committed to such poor trade deals, then you most likely come from 'normal' stock. And guess what? Trump is actually a normal person, which is why his rhetoric resonates so well with 50% of the population.
But here's the problem - traditional leaders are psychopaths. They don't want peace & quiet, they want action, preferably derived from inflicting pain, harassment and punishment on the aforementioned normals aka sheep. Because, let's be honest here, peasants/normals were selected and bred for certain behavior characteristics, a chief one following established rules and order. Those who didn't follow the program were picked out to be made as examples, thus achieving both the instillation of fear as well as removing recalcitrants from the gene pool.
So, what does this have to do with Trump? Normals, by definition, unlike leaders, are not murderers. For whatever reason, nice people don't regularly have people removed or otherwise dealt with via extra legal processes. And, unfortunately, that's what it takes. It's why the cabal is running around without a care in the world. Clinton, Johnson, Lincoln or any other "real" leader, would have already had every traitor gone.
And that's why nothing is going to happen. No one is afraid, no one is (in) hiding. They have Trump's number, and correctly assessed they could either roll him, or get away scot free (what, maybe prison for a few years before being pardoned? LOL) if caught. And it's turning out exactly as the DS expected.
Yeah....And Lois Lerner is still laughing her ass off while enjoying her $102,600 per year pension paid for by us suckers.
Never believed hatred of Trump was the reason. Ditto, for “because they didn’t like his politics”.
Obama showed he didn’t need to hate someone when he chose to sic the Feds on them. Witness how Obama had his IRS target the “opposition”.
Anyone or anything Obama opposed was enough of a justification to go after them. So far as Trump is concerned, he needed to clear the path for HIllary, and Trump was simply “in the way”. Would not have mattered if some Republican Obama “loved” was going up against Hillary. Any “loved” Republican would have got the same treatment.
“Bull is probably having trouble getting documents from Wray, the FBI,”
IMHO Wray has been a big disappointment.
Where is the Ellsberg patriots today who can steal and have published secrets like he did about the Vietnam war?
“I assume Wray was appointed by the President. If so, I can’t understand why DJT appointed him. “
Either he’s a poor judge of character, he has $hit people vetting candidates for him, or he’s trying to find people that the Senate will approve. In his failed list of appointments to key agencies, he has been cutting his own throat! He has managed, in far too many instances, to appoint people who go immediately to work actively undermining him. I am of the belief that Sessions was intimately involved in getting the Mueller “investigation” started, and perpetuated for as long as it was. Tillerson was a POS from the get go. “Mad Dog” was openly “mad” at his boss. WTF is with Wray? And now we have chicken$hit nominees for Defense and Homeland Security Secretaries. We need to ask, “what gives, Mr. President?”
“It will be interesting to see if Wray survives in his position...if he does leave, that will be the starting gun for heads to be rolling.”
He needs to go yesterday! And as for head’s rolling, that event needs to start immediately too.
Most executive branch appointments are recommended by your erstwhile allies. Wray was pushed on Trump by Gov. Christie — which probably should have set off alarm bells. Not on account of Christies loyaltie but rather because of his crappy political acumen. The guy is a dolt.
If Brennan is still walking around with security clearances as of this day then one could assume sternly written , “don`t do that ever again” reprimands on pieces of paper are about all to expect from career elites investigating career elites.
Barr SHOULD be able to see anything he wants from his subordinates at the FBI. However, I refer you to Trump's recent direction to the IC:
Today, at the request and recommendation of the Attorney General of the United States, President Donald J. Trump directed the intelligence community to quickly and fully cooperate with the Attorney Generals investigation into surveillance activities..."Reading this, it's obvious Barr went to the President and told him that he is not getting cooperation in his investigative efforts. Add in Wray's repudiation of his boss's statement that POTUS was spied on and his failure to fire anyone despite solid evidence against them. In fact, last year Wray threatened to resign if forced to fire McCabe and other senior FBI officials involved in the witch hunt. I would be happy yo find out that Wray is a good guy, but so far I see no evidence of that.
Wray was recommended by Chris Christie. - Tom
And Republicans like Kenneth Starr will block investigators like Miguel Rodriguez from exposing the truth.
You may be right, but they went after Trump’s children. That was a mistake.
I also think Trump realizes that they will probably indict him in New York for some made up claptrap after he is out of office.
It’s gotten that ugly. If Trump does not fight back this will be the new norm.
D.C. only allows one side of a story the left side.
