Trump and the Irish

As an Irishman, I’m embarrassed at the treatment of the President of the United States on his recent visit to Ireland. His shabby reception in Ireland contrasts sharply with the red carpet treatment in London. Media reports that the Leo Varadkar (the Irish Prime Minister/Taoiseach) refused to meet at the Trump resort at Doonbeg. The hostile media is having a field day with this.

Vox reported

President Trump will meet the Irish prime minister -- at the airport. Trump reportedly wanted to go to his golf course in Ireland. The Irish government said no. So they’re meeting at the airport instead.

The Washington Post reporter tweeted scornfully:

Seriously, the president’s bilateral meeting with Irish PM Varadkar is going to take place at the VIP lounge at Shannon. Trump wanted it at his nearby golf club. The Irish said no thanks. So, across from the Duty Free and next to the Irish Coffee bar at the airport. Perfect.

This is a most shabby and ungrateful manner in which to treat the leader of the country that has contributed greatly to Ireland’s prosperity. Just a few miles from my location, countless U.S. companies employ thousands of well-paid workers. This rosy situation is repeated countrywide. In addition, the U.S. has absorbed vast numbers of surplus Irish labor over many years. Many Irish in the U.S. are legal, but others are not. In his meeting with President Trump, Leo Varkadkar’s concerns in this regard are twofold (1) To sort out the situation of the Irish illegals in the U.S. and (2) to keep open the U.S. safely valve to dispose of surplus Irish labour. What is Leo Varkadkar willing to give in return -- just a few worthless crumbs?

His conversion is a fraction of an inch deep. He’s merely following the fact that a large segment of Brits are enamored with President Trump including a good portion of the Royal family.

Look at the Brexit party growth and it’s still growing. Brits just saw a measured, sensible American President with an incredibly elegant and beautiful First Lady.

Brits are like us, waking up to the scam of globalists and their media lapdogs.

Morgan sees which way the wind is blowing. But he’s still a globalist lapdog to his core. But his ‘adjustment’ is telling. It’s telling that Britain is coming round to Trump.

And Ireland will follow.

It takes time. It’s a process.

From the article:
The E3 visa deal was scuppered by Senator Tom Cotton. And a good job too, because it opens the opportunity for the U.S. to get something real in return as follows:
(1) Over the years, I have known many Americans who would like to work and live in Ireland. Realistically this is completely impossible, as they must stand in line behind the entire population of the EU, and in reality, will only be granted a work permit if they are working in management for a U.S. company. U.S citizens are simply excluded from working in Ireland, yet Irish politicians want an open door for the Irish in the U.S. This is simply inequitable. The U.S. should look for an equal number of unrestricted work permits for U.S. citizens to work and live in Ireland as the Irish government request from the U.S.

Sounds like Eire needs the "China" treatment. Treat us fairly and equitably or we will retaliate

the Irish government has been displaying some very disturbing anti-Christian and anti-Jewish attitudes, too not sure what’s going on in there, as Ireland has always been a good Biblical country (with, of course, some extra celebrations!) is it primarily a problem of a few people in the government or is it more a societal sickness, or what?

What happened is George Soros. His Open Society groups have gotten in there in the past few years with millions of Euros and leftist operatives to undermine Christian belief, outlaw Christian practice such as Ireland's bans on abortion and gay marriage, and push Ireland to accept muslims and unfettered immigration. And they have been succeeding.

I'm a citizen of Ireland.

Why does your home page say you have lived your entire life in Massachusetts?

Piers and Trump have been personal friends for years. Piers was on I think the second season of The Apprentice, which is over ten years ago, and he won it, if I recall.

Because my Mom was born in Ireland, making her an Irish citizen at birth.Under Irish law anyone whose mother or father was an Irish citizen when he/she was born in also automatically an Irish citizen regardless of where he/she was born.

Until fairly recently Ireland had pretty "liberal" citizenship laws.

But,as I noted,I've lived in the US for my entire life.

I saw that stuff on YouTube; O’Doherty said that prostitution was going on in Longford town during the daylight hours.

He has blackmailed so many people everywhere, it’s going to take an Act of God. Either that, or he is part of God’s judgment against this country for having legalized abominable sins.

I believe the Irish countered with meeting at a nearby castle but Trump turned it down

Probably the Secret Service turned it down. They need time to inspect/secure areas where the president will meet leaders. They need permission, too and I'm willing to bet the scumbag PM didn't allow it.
