“i do believe it would be beneficial all around for the state to find a couple decent jobs a released felon can start out with, plus assist in getting set up in a place to live”
Have to disagree with you.
Making jobs available to violent criminals means the government has to force people to hire them, and soon enough, a quota system would be in place to make sure enough criminals are under your employ otherwise you will be fined and lose all contracts with the government.
Understood. Though I dont think it would require force. Either way, youve identified just how serious the problem may be for at least done Excons. If they cant fibd jobs or shelter, we cant expect anything other than they will return to crime. To survive. Realistically, we need to help them get into an honest life path. Or we are helping manufacture a lot of crime that we as a society really dont need. And extra tragedies -for no positive reason or purpose at all. Imho.
Well there’s cleaning the police chiefs house, yard service for the police chief, driving the police chief, nanny for the police chiefs kids, etc.
I’ve worked with felons. They bring the jailhouse ethos of not snitching to the workplace. If they screw something up, you’d better not be the one to let someone know about it, even if you’re asked.
