The National Park Service (NPS) quietly removed a visitor center sign saying
the glaciers at Glacier National Park would disappear by 2020 due to climate change.
As it turns out, higher-than-average snowfall in recent years upended computer model projections
from the early 2000s that NPS based its claim glaciers will all be gone by the year 2020, federal officials said.

A. friend of mine use to say .....if computers were invented in 1860, they would have predicted that by 1990 NYC would be neck deep in horse sh!t
2020 is still 6 months away. It could still happen.
I remember them. Harry Reasoner and good old Uncle Walter, the commie bastard.
Gosh. Whodda thunk it. The shrill Gaia Worshipers were wrong again.
Itd almost be better if President Trump made them put those signs back up just to humiliate them.
I calculate it to be January 2, 2031 . . . mark this date down.
Let my local pub write some ambiguous signs for the Park Service. The “Free Beer Tomorrow” sign is always up and always right!
I do.
My Dad would watch them every night.
That was back in the day when they reported the news and not opinion.
I remember.
They need to leave those signs up and embrace the suck.
Yes they always said goodnight to each other. And then the closing theme music was a movement from Beethoven’s 9th symphony.
Nice memories.
The brutal fall and winter of 1976-1977 was proof we were entering a new Ice Age.
A few years later, Popular Science stated they would never use the term “Greenhouse Effect” again as it was not true.
Ten years later, they jumped on the Glo-Bull Warming bandwagon.
I do...but my dad preferred Howard K. Smith and Harry Reasoner on ABC but he always said that Walter Cronkite was a phony.
I can hardly wait 11 1/2 years, until it is too late to do anything to save the Earth, and we can all sit back, relax and enjoy the inexorable decline.
Thanks red-dawg. The signs should be made part of a new indoor exhibit, debunking the global warming hoax, and taking a chainsaw to the sociology of the movement that advocates the ridiculous claim.

I built a new patio with a water feature to do just that. ;)
I remember them..... Good night, Chet. Good night, David. And good night, for NBC News.
I remember when there was no television, just radio, in my little corner of East Tennessee where I was born in 1939.
Eric Sevareid. Gabriel Heatter. Edward R. Murrow.
How’s that.
I do not remember that news show but id do remember:
“This Week with David Brinkley”
Now they have George Snufullufagus hosting it. :(
“Computer model projections”. What could go wrong.
Oh yeah. Garbage in, garbage out.
Would like to get a copy of the old sign.
