‘Political Correctness’ Blocks Today’s ‘Eisenhowers,’ ‘Pattons,’ and ‘Bradleys’ from Rising
Breitbart ^ | June 6,2019 | ROBERT KRAYCHIK

“We have lost so very, very much in terms of leadership, determination, and just forthrightness,” determined Gorka. “Look at the Eisenhowers or the Pattons or the Bradleys. These individuals wouldn’t make it past major in today’s military, because they would be seen as iconoclasts and too much individuals who are prepared to talk the truth.”

Gorka added, “We have at least two generations of general officers who have been infected by political correctness, and that undermines our national security.”

“This was six years into the Obama administration. … More than half of the teams of colonels and half-colonels said that climate change and global warming is the primary threat to the United States. That’s where we are. I personally lost it.”

Subversion of meritocracy within the military in pursuit of “political correctness” pushed by “woke generals,” said Gorka, compromises nationals security. “These things have real-life consequences,” he stated. “When you dilute the conditions, the standards for passing Marine Corps basic training so that women can pass, that impacts combat effectiveness.”

Combating those seeking to destroy Western Civilization is an eternal endeavor, said Gorka.

“This mission remains,” said Gorka in reflecting on the D-Day invasion. “It may not be toxic masculinity with M1 rifles wading through the waters of Omaha Beach, but we face just as serious attempts to undermine Judeo-Christian civilization from within, not just without, and that’s the real message for today. This isn’t just history. This isn’t just our grandfathers. This is an ongoing mission.”

Gorka recalled Ronald Reagan’s “reminder that the extinction of liberty is always but one generation away,” adding, “it’s not just 75 years ago, it’s today, sadly.”

Sebastian Gorka on D-Day: ‘Political Correctness’ Blocks Today’s ‘Eisenhowers,’ ‘Pattons,’ and ‘Bradleys’ from Rising

Eisenhower did not like Patton..but had to use him because the others could not handle the job..

Eisenhower was dirt poor and Patton had married into a rich family from Boston

Patton could entertain the big wigs

Patton and Trump would get along...they both were not afraid to tell anyone what they though..

What would Patton think of transgendered in the military

this deterioration of the armed services has been going on since just after the Nam war.....

too many people are in the service for the wrong reasons....easy, freebies, early pension, etc....not enough challenge....it started after Nam and it accelerated.

I've seen the softest of men become lifers doing the bare minimum, then again this was the AF so there's that....

same scenario for officers......too many clerical officers specializing in mumbo jumbo...

In his six volumn “History of WWII”, Churchill mentions having Eisenhower as a guest at Chartwell. He invited Ike and his aide to a shooting match.

Churchill and the Aide both shot tight groups. Eisenhower could not hit the target.

The best guys stall out at Lieutenant Colonel, or if they are really good at Colonel. To make Brigadier General you have to be a military politician.

I take exception to Eisenhower being listed in the title. He was promoted over several senior officers to Supreme Commander because of his political skills.

He was promoted over men with combat experience, He had none.

IMO it was a OK choice, it worked for the most part although he kept on feeding montgomery's ego when he should have been kicking his butt.

In any case that is the type of leadership that thrives in today's military

This is absolutely correct.

Retired after 32 years. Barely recognized the army anymore by the time I left.

Truthfully, this is how it has always been.

The best example of late is Abraham Lincoln’s frustration at finding a worthwhile general to lead the Union Army. His first commanding general didn’t want to fight, and eventually ran against Lincoln for POTUS.

His eventual commander, Ulysses S. Grant, was one of the most improbable generals ever. From his time as a cadet at West Point, everything about him seemed to be wrong.

But he was a fighter and a winner.

The country our Founders created was never well-suited to have a large standing military that would spend most of its time and resources taking sides in civil wars in Third World dumps all over the globe. In fact, we don’t even have a real country anymore.

With that it mind, does it really matter who our military leaders are?
