House Democrats, who are probing President Trump's taxes and finances, also are working on an event that will bring a Yale psychiatrist to talk about the president's mental state. Lawmakers are planning to focus on Trump's mental faculties at a Capitol event that will feature Dr. Bandy Lee, a Yale psychiatrist who edited The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump and who has raised public warnings about her diagnosis of the president's 'deteriorating' mental state. Lee has promoted concerns about Trump's mental capacity in TV appearances and through the book, which features articles by other academics and trained psychitrists.

What?? They couldn’t get some ACTOR that PLAYED a Physchiatrist??
She has an active license in New York State (#219444, expires 4/20). If she is only teaching at Yale, she does not need a Connecticut license. If her only patient contact is at the West Haven VA, at VA clinics, or in the Federal Correctional System, she only needs a license in one state.
If, however, Yale or Dr. Lee are billing Federal or state health programs (Medicare, Medicaid, I don't know about Tricare) for patients seen in Connecticut NOT covered by the VA/prison waivers, then there may be a fraud issue.
It's not malpractice unless, she treats Trump without examining him (writes a prescription, for example) and he is harmed as a result.
It's professional misconduct.
Obama was a Narcissist with a mother complex didn’t stop him from being President. To be honest I think being slightly narcissistic is necessary to do the job. I remember they tried similar with Reagan to say he was old and incompetent. It’s all about winning and being in power for them and there is no level they will not sink to get power.

All republicans have to do is call ANOTHER psychiatrist who says “Trump seems very stable, but I haven’t examined him- and any doctor who would diagnose a person without seeing him should have their medical license removed.”

And BTW...having worked in Emergency Medicine for decades I've interacted with many,many psychiatrists in my day and I'm unwilling to declare a single one of them to have been fully sane and rational.

And, to use a term of art, most competent surgeons are assholes.

If this were testimony before Congress, the questions I'd ask if I were a Republican member (perish the thought!) -- in addition to how she can possibly diagnose a patient she's never even met -- are if she has a psychiatrist herself, what's her diagnosis, what meds is she on, and how many cats does she own.
