The Virginia Beach shooting is barely a blip on the media’s radar just three days after the deadliest mass shooting of 2019. It has effectively disappeared from the top of the news cycle. Even the staunchest gun control activists have changed the subject. Why?
One America News host Liz Wheeler discussed the issue last night on Tipping Point.
BlazeTV’s Jon Miller said this was a black man using legally obtained pistols rather than the “scary” guns the left is supposedly targeting. What sort of gun control measure short of taking away all basic firearms could they initiate?
“This shooting didn’t fall into the parameters of the Democrats’ desired narrative on gun control, and so they don’t cover it,” Wheeler noted.
Bottom line: Democrats only care about shooting victims when they fit their narrative. If they can’t talk about laws that infringe on our #2A rights, they’d rather change the subject and hope for a juicier shooting later.
I also wonder if some leftists are now realizing the importance of having firearms for the eventuality that they might need them. A Civil War would be a very one sided affair if only the people on the right had them.

The authorities and MSM probably don’t want it publicized any more than it already is..............
Some of their talking points involve banning all semi-automatic firearms. “High capacity” magazines are also in the crosshairs. The shooter’s two .45’s would have covered both categories. The Dems just aren’t trying hard enough.
In our opinion, HIDING the fact that this MASS MURDERER was a Black man is just as PREJUDICED & (pardon us for saying) JUST AS STUPID as “making a big deal out of” the fact that some MASS MURDERER is a “White person”.

I remember back between 1962 and 1986 when handguns were the ultimate “evil” that they were wanting to first register, then ban, The 6 shot .22 Revolver (Saturday Night Special)was the ultimate evil.
The anti-gun people bent over backwards to prove they “ONLY” wanted to control handguns. “Rifles would not be affected!”
Anyone remember 1981, when actress Lee Grant went on Good Morning America, poked holes in the air with her finger,and yelled....
“THE NRA IS A RIFLE ORGANIZATION! THEY SHOULD GIVE UP THEIR HANDGUNS AND THEY CAN KEEP THEIR RIFLES!”
Then, around 1986, when they thought no one was watching the rifle “hen house” and made a grab for rifles and shotguns.
And don't forget that the shooter was also a registered Democrat.
No wonder the lying press dropped the story so quickly.

I don’t know. It was as covered as much as the 15 or 20 OTHER MASS SHOOTINGS. COMMITTED BY BLACK MEN in the last couple of weeks.
It is an inconvenient fact that the two biggest shootings in Virginia, which also make the top 20 worst shootings in America, were both perpetrated by minorities, and with handguns.
Mass shooters tend to be white males, so this is really out of the norm.
I would believe that because it sounds logical and rational. People like you and I would think that because because we are logical and rational.
Which is exactly why I was not surprised when Northam called a special session of his legislature calling for “laws and votes instead of thoughts and prayers”.
They just can’t help themselves. Logic and rationality have departed from the democratic party and I think we will have a better country when those two things re-appear in it.
