Politico Falsely Reports That A Megachurch Pastor Apologized For Praying For Trump
The Federalist ^ | June 4, 2019 | Madeline Osburn

President Trump stopped by McLean Bible Church, a megachurch near D.C., on Sunday on his way home from playing golf, where Pastor David Platt prayed for the president–a common Christian practice. Perhaps if Politico reporters and editors understood the biblical command of praying for all those in positions of authority, they might not have botched their coverage of the president’s pit stop so poorly.

On Monday, Platt wrote to his church members with an explanation of Sunday’s prayer, but Politico reported that Platt “has apologized to his congregation after praying for the president during the unscheduled visit.”

Pastor Platt did not apologize.

Some unidentified members supposedly said that they had been “hurt” by his prayer.

Politico printed a false headline and a dishonest story. Their goal was tp pit evangelicals against the president.

I saw that thread yesterday. Plenty of folks questioned the accuracy.

Believe little or nothing.... fake news is everywhere.

I am glad to read this. I think we all have learned to wait at least 48 hours after any “TRUMP IS HATED BY EVERYONE!!!” story to be given the truth.

Unbelievable how much fake news or fake spin is put on events.

And why would anyone take exception to a minister praying for the president? I’m sure many clergymen prayed for Obama while not having supported or voting for him.

“Hurt by his prayers.”

Well, there’s always just being honest with themselves and leaving that church and entering hedonism so that they won’t be hurt or uncomfortable anymore.

Perhaps if Politico reporters and editors understood the biblical command of praying for all those in positions of authority,

Leftist media types may meet with people in covens to case curses and spells against President Trump (many stories verified that) but they are totally dazed and bewildered about the nature of true prayer to God.

Politico printed a false headline and a dishonest story.

Big Media lied.

Again.

As usual.

Because that is what they do.

Sharks bite.

Skunks stink.

Big Media lies.

It's their nature.

What I’ve witnessed recently from “journalists” on the major networks and comedians alike (hard to tell the difference these days) is that it is now A.O.K. to take actual events and transcripts totally out of context when they can twist the meaning to the opposite of the truth.

For example from CBS to Steven Colbert, they use ONE line in the Markle story from Trump that is way out of context to support their a*sinine lies - really shameful.

Any headline that seems provocative is click bait and probably fake news.

“saw that thread yesterday. Plenty of folks questioned the accuracy.”

Plenty seemed to buy it lock stock and barrel.

This is much more believable about David Platt. He is strongly Bibically based and seems to have a level head.

Well, unfortunately, it’s because we’re getting used to being burned by “churches”.

So, is Politico going to apologize for falsely claiming the pastor apologized?

This and the one about Graham were fake stories to get people riled up. We are commanded in Scripture to pray for those in authority, and Sunday at many churches was designate specifically as the day to pray for the President.

Our church prays for the President, whoever the President is, for wisdom and guidance from God.
