Trump is who we wanted. Not another fancy-words-that-mean-nothing politician. He may not be the smartest guy in the room, but he’s smart enough to surround himself with really smart, loyal people who will advance his agenda.

I have to disagree with you. You don’t get to the level of where President Trump is by being dumb. I believe he is very smart!! He’s Br’er Rabbit begging to be thrown into the brier patch.

Maybe what you are trying to say is he may not have the broadest education or experience usually associated with heads of state. He’s always lacked polish. The elites overlooked that when they wanted his money and popular personality connections (contact sports, music and television production venues).

He is not lacking in intelligence. His education was business-oriented. He has negotiating experience, but it is in narrower fields. He’s the kind of guy who prefers to read contracts and spread sheets to opinion and literary fiction/non-fiction/quasi-fiction.

So far, he’s smoked all the elitist poseurs.

The only negatives I can dredge up, IMO, is he tends to respond too quickly on a personal level and he seems to have had poor results in hiring at what would be the VP level in business, translated to government.

He’s been on a steep learning curve in governmental hiring. Seems he’s hit his stride there, lately.
