Oh. Bummer
Wow.
I have to go take a look at it now.
That’s pretty cool :)
It’s hard to find something to compare to guns as far as longevity goes.
Cars are out in the elements unless you can afford to keep a classic in a controlled environment.
Appliances are constantly used and wear down.
I would bet an instrument could last a long, long time if taken care of.
Hell, i took NO CARE of a 20 year old guitar I just pulled out of the garage and stringed it and it sounded good as new.
“They wont stop with AR-15s, they will soon go after pro life companies, Christian companies, etc. etc.
This is also an indicator of the dangers of relying to the Cloud for critical business functions. When someone else owns a big piece of your operation, you are accepting big risks.”
Yep. Also, what does their current contract say about them controlling what products can be sold? I’ll bet they decided to virtue signal without consulting a lawyer first. When they attempt to “punish” a user, what will happen? How do they intend to enforce this policy? No matter whether potential users sell banned products, any potential user will think...Say, they could do this to me at any moment. I’m going with SAP.
I also have a Winchester 22 Automatic 1903 that my Grandfather bought as soon as they came out in 1903. It’s still as good as new over 100 years later.
I have no idea what their contracts look like, but these days most software transactions, especially Cloud based applications are subscriptions. Violate a terms of service agreement, even something put in place after you bought the service, they can cancel or suspend your subscription. They have all of the control. You - none. You can take them to court, but while the lawyers squabble, you can’t conduct business.
Cost-free virtue-signalling. Guaranteed none of their existing customers sell semi-auto rifles or accessories. If there were any, we'd already know who they are.
Their lawyers went over this with a magnifying glass to make sure they wouldn't be exposing themselves to any lawsuits.
“They have all of the control. You - none. You can take them to court, but while the lawyers squabble, you cant conduct business.”
I have no doubt you are probably right, but I suspect this is yet another example of “Get Woke, Go Broke.” Even if I sold baby diapers, I’d already be looking at an alternative supplier.
I know this from personal experience of sitting in the board room at an international (Israeli owned) company. Within two sentences of any idea the subject of risk comes up. The possible risks get chewed around six ways from Sunday before anything is done. Having a “woke” supplier you can’t do business without is a risk. They have just shot themselves and their investors in the wallet.
what a KRAPPY company!
I do have the Miroku replica which is built like a Swiss Watch.
Like the man said, keep it clean and correctly lubed and DON’T store it in a case.
Before that just the same stuff Captain Obvious would tell you - don’t abuse it or shoot the wrong ammo thru it. Don’t loan it out...
Otherwise just let it be part of your enjoyment of life.
Somewhere a million iPhones all began laughing spontaneously.../s
Cool. They stopped making those didn’t they?
About 1923 Winchester stopped.
Why are all of the innovative companies run by leftists? Why can’t we innovate alternatives when companies like this go SJW?
If you as a company think your sales force records are private you are sadly mistaken. It’s a stupid tool too. Easy to manipulate as a sales guy. Pipelines mean crap. Gigo
Looks like I will not recommend Salesfarce in my solutions. They are overprice and overrated.
Wonder when they will require the sales of certain “approved” items......
