When the shooting starts, the men will be operating in a dense fog of lies and conflicting orders. They will not know where the President or SECDEF are, or even WHO they are.
They will be scared. They will follow their officers.

I talk to many, many more people than you do. Both officer (O6) and active enlisted in all branches and their evaluations are the real world. They know who the majority is and what has been going on since 2015. You have surface info which tickles your ears and supports your opinions/desires.

Your sweeping statement and assumptions seem to indicate that you’re not being truthful. You don’t know how many or who I talk to, you cannot claim that your folks are “real world” and thus nobody else’s opinions are well-grounded, you reply with “bullshit!”, and you pretend that you know my desires. That all pretty clearly indicates that you are not proceeding from any honest assertions.
Sedition is inciting those to rebel against legal authority. Treason is when it moves to overthrow the leader or the government.

I think you will see the importance of the government in power having an integrated action plan to defeat an unexpected attempt.
That would be a tough call. I suppose sedition is easier to prove, maybe, in a court of law. I don’t really know.
They are very on top of this. Just for a small example I know a few pro-Obama officers who were driven out of the service by Dumford back in 2016. They told me that their politics killed them and this is when Obama was still in office. You could see the writing on the wall then.
It’s clearly in the sedition definition now. But also give Barr the benefit of holding a card or two like a good poker player. He is former USMC too.
