Confirmed: U.S. Attorney John Huber never started the ‘Spygate’ probe Sessions assigned to him
The National Sentinel ^ | 5/31/19 | Jon Dougherty

Posted on 05/31/2019 11:30:28 AM PDT by SleeperCatcher

You may recall that about a year into failed Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ tenure with the Trump administration he rebuffed several calls from members of Congress to appoint a U.S. attorney ‘outside the Beltway’ to investigate abuses by the Obama regime and the 2016 Clinton campaign regarding “Spygate.”

That attorney, John Huber of Utah, was supposedly a ‘special prosecutor in all but name,’ Sessions said at the time. He claimed Huber will be using all of “his prosecutorial powers” to conduct a wide-ranging investigation into alleged abuses that extend well beyond suspected FISA court improprieties.

“I am confident that Mr. Huber’s review will include a full, complete, and objective evaluation of these matters in a manner that is consistent with the law and the facts,” Sessions announced in late March 2018.

And then…crickets.

Huh? That was Huber job to prosecute referrals from the IOG. Did you not read Barr’s quote?

Barr is telling us that Huber was told to stand down from that matter...

HTH do you get that when it is clearly stated that Huber made the decision to stand back?

...but then he stood back and put that on hold...

And you even posted that!
Who is it that you believe told him to stand back/down?

I don't no who told Huber to stand down, probably Sessions or Rosenstein. The important point is that the IG FISA investigation began in March of 2018 and that Barr is saying that Huber "stood back and put that(Huber's FISA investigation) on hold while the Office of Inspector General was conducting its review". That's March 2018 until recently, when Durham picked it up.

People forget that this is the same OIG that whitewashed the Clinton investigation.

Yup. That investigation produced only one criminal referral and that criminal referral was about a McCabe leak, to the WSJ, against the Deep State, that actually hurt Obama and Hillary.

And then there was the Horowitz Fast and Furious whitewash. .

The criminal referral for McCabe is not moving forward according to OIG.
Link please. Show me, don't tell me.
https://oig.justice.gov/reports/2019/f190529.pdf

Ask and you will recieve.

...that a then FBI Deputy Assistant Director (DAD)...

I don't see McCabe's name anywhere in that link.
Do you?

This matter is among the OIG investigations referenced on page 430 of the OIG’s Review of Allegations Regarding Various Actions by the Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Advance of the 2016 Election (June 2018; https://www.justice.gov/file/1071991/download ).

https://www.justice.gov/file/1071991/download Page 430...in part.
In addition to the significant number of communications between FBI employees and journalists, we identified social interactions between FBI employees and journalists that were, at a minimum, inconsistent with FBI policy and Department ethics rules. For example, we identified instances where FBI employees received tickets to sporting events from journalists, went on golfing outings with media representatives, were treated to drinks and meals after work by reporters, and were the guests of journalists at nonpublic social events. We will separately report on those investigations as they are concluded, consistent with the Inspector General (IG) Act, other applicable federal statutes, and OIG policy.

Can you show me where Horowitz made any criminal referrals to Huber? He sent McCabe's straight to DC.

mccabe criminal referral U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia

Did anybody say Horowitz had to send everything to Huber and only Huber.

If you have a bitch about McCabe getting off then direct it to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia. His case, however, as far as I know, is still ongoing.

Furthermore...your link (https://oig.justice.gov/reports/2019/f190529.pdf) directly states "Prosecution of the DAD was declined."
McCabe went to trial. Prosecution ongoing, as far as I know. Did his case end?

Here is the OIG report on McCabe... Justice Department Inspector General's investigation of Andrew McCabe

That's not the same thing your link references.

Barr said that Huber has been inactive.

But Huber was doing other things while he was waiting for a "maybe" to come down the line, wasn't he.

It sure is peculiar how nobody wants to talk about Huber still looking into Her Thighness during all this time, isn't it.
Well, it seems that way to me anyway.

I don’t think that McCabe was a DAD. That would be somebody like Strzok.

Judicial Watch Panel: Clinton Scandal Update –Emails and the Clinton Foundation Thursday, September 29, 2016

And, you know, I think the fact that he’s offended shows that he knows how awful his performance was as a federal law enforcement official. And all you have to do is talk to people like James Kallstrom in New York, the great assistant director, who called this a farce because that’s what it is. This investigation was a farce, and Comey knows it. Thank you, Tom.

As can be seen he was talking about something completely different than Huber's investigation.

I guesss I'll just post this one more time for fun. Yes, I was doing a little gentle poking fun at those who were sure that Huber was going to rain down indictments any day now with this recurring post.

Huber is doing his job as US Attorney for Utah in the news today. Provided as part of my ongoing series:

Huber Watch
U.S. Attorney for Utah John Huber in the News

A lot is riding on the shoulders of John Huber, what is he up to, based on news accounts?

Some past HuberWatch highlights:

He is prosecuting vandals defacing rocks on national lands:

Idaho Falls man pleads guilty in Corona Arch graffiti case

SALT LAKE CITY — Federal prosecutors say an Idaho man has pleaded guilty to defacing a sandstone arch near Moab by scrawling graffiti on the rock feature.

As part of a plea agreement, the 45-year-old Idaho Falls man will pay a $1,000 fine and restitution of nearly $860 to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management for the damage done at Corona Arch

...

"U.S. Attorney John Huber told the Tribune on Friday that Andersen’s actions were “troubling to us and anyone who values Utah’s beautiful public lands. People travel from around the world to visit these spectacular resources. Mr. Andersen learned a valuable lesson from this prosecution.”

He's working to bring down street-level drug dealers and throw the book at them:

A 22-year-old Utah man died from an overdose. Now, federal prosecutors want big prison sentences for those who sold him the drugs.

“We all share responsibility in helping our communities rise above this epidemic,” U.S. Attorney for Utah John Huber said in a Monday statement. “Within that space, surely the drug dealers and providers have culpability. Our efforts, like those in other federal districts, will track back from an overdose death to find those responsible for providing the drugs that led to the death. Drug dealers and traffickers will be held responsible.”

He is assigned to work with the OIG on the FISA warrant investigation, in this recent article

Of course this is the assignment that we are told is to form the key of bringing down the Deep State Coup plotters, but there is little evidence of any activity around it since this initial flurry of articles around the announcement by Jeff Sessions. <

Illinois’ congressional delegation spar over growing questions of surveillance abuse claims

Trump was roundly criticized (for his "tapped my wires" acqusationat that time for the unsubstantiated accusation, but congressional investigations over the last year lead by Republicans have unearthed what Republicans say was bias and wrongdoing by Obama administration Department of Justice employees involved in the process of getting warrants on a Trump adviser that allowed for surveillance on the Trump campaign.

The U.S. Department of Justice Inspector General investigation into the alleged FISA abuse is ongoing. A U.S. attorney from Utah, John Huber, also is investigating the claims.

That's all for now!

Here is one where Toensing lays out exactly who Campbell spoke to...

All Huber has to do is pull those transcripts. There is no need to interview him again.

Sorry. You’re right. I misread and got confused. McCabe was referred a year or so ago. He has no fear of being arrested. However the OIG actually declined to prosecute some one much worse. Peter Strzok. Mr. Insurance Policy.

While the investigative summary does not name the DAD, it does reference the OIG report on FBI misconduct during the 2016 election. In that report, which came out last year, the DAD repeatedly mentioned is Peter Strzok.

And I have this...from james hoft's YouTube page as well...
Fed Prosecutors Reporting to Huber Reached Out to Whistleblower Regarding Clinton Published on Nov 30, 2018 John Solomon: I’ll give you some breaking news right now, Sean. Just two hours ago federal prosecutors assigned to John Huber, the US attorney investigating the Clintons, reached out to a whistleblower in the Clinton Foundation – The first time we’ve seen contact between a Clinton Foundation whistleblower and that particular federal office. That just happened tonight.

Feds received whistleblower evidence in 2017 alleging Clinton Foundation wrongdoing 12/06/18
The answer to the second question may reside in 6,000 pages of evidence attached to a whistleblower submission filed secretly more than a year ago with the IRS and FBI.

It sure sounds to me like something has been going on and for quite some time.
