Definitely prefer American ownership of everything from businesses, stores, farms. That way profits are likely to stay in the country. And I always preferred working for American bosses.
I didn’t say anything about profits. The quote was that foreign owners were getting subsidies from not using the land. I would need to see that in paper before I would believe it.
There is no real profit in this day and age of sitting on some land and getting a subsidy for not using it. There are too many ways to use it and get better return.
