Well, the DOJ just gave Strzok a pass on illegal leaks.That could very well be fake news. And here you are spreading it just like they planned for idiots to do. You don't really think that kind of information is being released to the masses do you? Do You?
Or, if true it could be the result of a plea bargain for flipping. There will be a lot of that at every level of the bureaucracies. In either case that information is at best a leak.
This declassifying thing is only about a week old.
It could get real ugly and there are going to be a lot of unhappy people on both sides before it's even close to being completed, if ever.

It’s always that way. Hillary gets away with giving out classified secrets to foreign governments because she supposedly didn’t “intend to.” Yeah, well imagine one of US saying “I didn’t intend to” the next time we get a ticket for running a stop sign or something and see how far that gets us.

Plus, in a way I think he’s laying the groundwork for the CBS watchers to see what really happened. The DS’s story will be that they had to stop Russia and PDJT for the Country’s safety and security. I think this is a long way from over and Barr has to at least appear reasonable to them.
He may well be, as you say, expressing that he doesn’t buy it as an acceptable reason to commit the crime. I hope that’s what he’s saying.
But...I would like to think that most of us know that criminals convince themselves of things before committing crimes. Not sure that Barr needed to remind us. Just my take.

I've long been telling people not to get their hopes up. The UniParty Deep State is all about protecting their own. They all know each others secrets and it's a quid pro quo to not rat each other out.
If they're discovered by the media, those around them will simply play naive and say, 'I never knew'.
It's all a game and we're being played.
Again, I think you make some good points.
However, I am starting to get concerned that a theme may emerge whereby the cabal, being caught red handed, decides to cover themselves in the flag. It wouldn’t be the first time such a defense has been used.
Looks like a classic trial balloon here from Barr.
He is trying to walk a tight rope here. Barr knows while the GOP might now nominally support POTUS they will never go to war with President Trump. Look how badly Trump’s fed picks were rejected by the GOP Senate. Did that ever happen in 8 years of Obama? No.
I take anything said by the GOP swampers with a grain of salt. The proof is in the pudding: nearly 3 years sine these Democrats high crimes and not a single indictment. Effectively, the Uniparty has nearly completely invalidated our election of President Trump.

Barr doesn’t need to remind us, it’s not for us at all. It’s for the CBS (MSM) watchers.

That’s what they do. Distract, delay, dissemble, and deny. They’re all in on it and we are the sheeple are the dupes.
As a legal matter Treason is an act committed during a time of declared war with a foreign country that gives aid and comfort the the enemy state and harm’s the traitor’s national defense. This obviously does not apply to the attack on Trump or Paige. They were private citizens before the election and their fourth amendment rights were violated under color of law by unwarranted and illegal surveillance. Trump has also been slandered and libeled by numerous news organizations and public officials. Mike Flynn was coerced into pleading guilty to a perjury charge (by his own lawyers) even though the prosecutor (Mueller) had exculpatory evidence of his innocence which is abuse of prosecutorial power.
Effectively, the Uniparty has nearly completely invalidated our election of President Trump.

Kind of hard to argue that given there was no defensive briefing given to Trump. Since that is public knowledge Barr is free to drop that nugget on CBS viewers and he didn’t. The more likely explaining is he is deploying a no criminal charges for Democrats trial balloon and seeing what the reaction is from the Trump voting GOP base.
