Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced the indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officers for conspiring to interfere in the 2016 presidential election on Friday.

At Friday’s press conference, Rosenstein outlined the charges leveled against the Russian intelligence officers, including money laundering, aggravated identity theft and conspiring to access computers without authorization as part of their efforts to influence the election.

Mueller’s statement today calls Rosenstein a liar. First is Rosenstein’s remarks from last year, followed by Mueller today. Both are talking about the same indictment against the Russians trying to hack into Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Rosenstein:

“There is no allegation in this indictment that any American citizen committed a crime. There is no allegation that the conspiracy changed the vote count or affected any election result.”

“The conspirators corresponded with several Americans during the course of the conspiracy through the internet. There is no allegation in the indictment that the Americans knew they were communicating with Russian intelligence officers.”

Mueller’s today:

“And at the same time, as the grand jury alleged in a separate indictment, a private Russian entity engaged in a social media operation where Russian citizens posed as Americans in order to interfere in the election.

These indictments contain allegations. And we are not commenting on the guilt or innocence of any specific defendant. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

The indictments allege, and the other activities in our report describe, efforts to interfere in our political system. They needed to be investigated and understood. That is among the reasons why the Department of Justice established our office.”

It was a weird, James Bond-ian CIA/KGB co-venture against the American people.

All those 60's hippies screaming "The CIA is the enemy..!"

Yeah, 60 years later they're right.

Cuz they ARE the CIA.

I’m eager to hear Dershowitz on all of this. He’s a Lib, but he respects the Law and I think he has contempt for how these clowns have tried to abuse the Law.

Dershowitz said after the Mueller statement that Mueller is wrong, there is no crime to indict Trump. The evidence is not there he said. He also said how disappointed he was in Mueller because he thought he was not partisan and the statement shows he is partisan and he wants Trump kicked out office.

Mueller did not surprise me. He was greatly constrained in what he could put in his report, and what he could say, by the fact that his investigation is itself under investigation. So he can’t say certain things, which forces him to imply them without saying them. He is trying to throw bombs without directly perjuring himself.

This is why I have been looking forward to him testifying to Congress... and being under oath in front of Nunes, Gohmert, and the gang. But he was today saying without saying that he will not testify, because (I believe) he does not want to be placed under oath.

But he is under investigation, and his day is coming, which is why he is desperate for Congress to remove Trump. Its his only salvation.
