The Trump administration is stepping up its war against measures to address climate change, according to The New York Times.
The administration reportedly plans to prevent the National Climate Assessment, a report funded by the federal government, from assessing worst-case scenarios in its four-year reports.
The US Geological Survey will also be made to change its modeling to project only until 2040, not a century ahead, as in previous assessments, The Times said.
"What we have here is a pretty blatant attempt to politicize the science — to push the science in a direction that's consistent with their politics," Philip B. Duffy, the president of the Woods Hole Research Center, told The Times.

We haven’t seen the science. Show us the science. All we see is the words “climate change” repeated endlessly, while we’re watching antelopes being chewed to death by lions on some plain in Africa, and in all those nature documentaries.
But where’s the proof? Where’s the substance? You can’t hope to convince me by saying that it’s the consensus of scientists everywhere. Facts are what I need, not propaganda.

Why would one need a model out 100 years? First, they have shown to be completely inaccurate as the models have never been validated. Second, thought the world was going to end in 12 years? Why bother with what might happen after that?

To show that the models are reliable for 100 year, they would have to accurately predict temperature from 1918 to 2018, given the correct inputs. Then, if the model accurately predicts 2019 to 2024 using the actual data from 1924 to 2018 and assumed inputs from 2019 to 2024, they may be on to something.
Do I really think this will work? No, because no model will have all of the necessary inputs to correctly predict even what has come before, the assumed conditions may be completely wrong, and that climate modeling is a huge set of non-linear equations that are sensitive to initial conditions (chaos theory).

a better question to ask them is “Please explain to everyone how just 0.00136% of our atmosphere can trap enough heat to cause global climate change”
Hold up a beach ball, and then hold a pea to the side of it and explain to them that the pea represents how much CO2 is in the atmosphere (0.00136%)- explain to them that the rest of the atmosphere is CO2 free- and then ask them: “I ask you again- how can such a small amount of atmosphere possibly be capturing enough heat to cause global climate change when the mass majority of the atmosphere is CO2 free?”
perhaps point to a spot opposite the pea, and say “How can CO2 from the other side of the world be causing climate change on this side? CO2 is not some thick blanket covering the earth preventing the escape of heat- it’s a Very Very small % of our atmosphere- far too small to be having an effect globally- even too small to be having an effect locally really-
