KAWASAKI, Japan (AP) — A man carrying a knife in each hand and screaming “I will kill you!” attacked a group of schoolgirls near a school bus parked at a bus stop just outside Tokyo on Tuesday, killing two people and injuring at least 17 before killing himself, officials said.
Most of the victims were students at a Catholic elementary school who were lined up at the bus stop near Noborito Park in the city of Kawasaki when a man in his 50s began slashing them with knives. City officials, quoting police, said the suspect was captured but died from a self-inflicted slash in his neck.

Wife just told me that the Japanese news is reporting while the perp cut his own throat, his cause of death is being ruled to be a shot from the policeman who arrived on scene first.
Also one of the dead was a passerby who tried to come to the aid of the children and likely kept the bodycount down.
Bastard was actually saying ‘ohayo gozaimasu” (good morning) to people he passed as he walked to where the kids were lining up for the bus with a backpack full of knifes.
This and the local tornado reminds me of how quick things can change for people.
Muzzie crazies in Japan now?
Initial word is he was a local shut-in, parents passed, didn’t really talk with neighbors...I’m not sure more will come out as Japan sometimes (not always) shuts down discussion on this type of stuff.
Once or twice a year, we hear about these knife attacks in Japan or China, and it seems they all take place at elementary schools. I bet they are ‘knife-free zones’.
