National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) today filed a Complaint with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) against the Center for Global Policy Solutions (CGPS), a 501(c)(3) organization headed by Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, wife to Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD).
Mrs. Cummings is currently Chair of the Maryland Democratic Party and is a former candidate for Governor. Rep. Cummings is Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
Holds true for Chirlane McCray.
Ew x 2!
Back in 8/10/10....(The House ethics committee...)...(she's BAAACK!) serving herself.....
We let garbage people like Cummings into our govt. Now we have garbage govt.
Lets see the tax returns!
This at least seems like good reason to.
It is a holiday today. What court was open to accept this ‘filing’???
Date is wrong. It was May 20.
“Being a Democrat means never having to say youre sorry.” Except when they are trying to impress some dopes they want money from.
After the way those white women treated Ben Carson, they and the whole dimwit party...since NOBODY was critical of the way he was treated...they do not have “hand” for screaming racism.
Zero, nunca, nada.
Or pay for your crimes.
A particularly satisfying ping!
Supposedly she runs a non-profit and the tax returns are supposed to be public record.
Her returns were requested - and she refused.
Which is all the reason anyone should need to favor the abolition of the IRS. I favor a repeal of the 16th Amendment and believe taxes on wages are immoral. But even that can be separated from the question of how we collect taxes and how we enforce and prosecute tax evasion. A simplified code, with a simplified collection method would eliminate the need for audits, for the tax industry; would lessen the numbers of criminal and civil tax prosecutions; and would end the use of the IRS for political punitive aggression.
A flat, national sales tax. Nothing else federal.
I sympathize and there is merit in this especially as more and more sales move online and are paid electronically (be it credit card or other form). Taxes could be collected by the credit card merchants at the time of purchase and remitted by them, thereby alleviating the accounting and reporting expense of retailers. Retailers would only need to file a supplemental return for cash transactions.
Retirees would complain they are footing a second round of ‘income tax’ on their retirement savings.
