I really don’t see an upside to replacing opiate addiction with cannabinoid addiction. Plus, the fact that marijuana has been shown to precipitate psychotic disorders when used by people whose brains are still developing (up until ~30 years old) and the other problems marijuana causes... this bill is insane.
If medical — and recreational — cannabis is already legal why was this bill necessary?

This is a red flag to allow firearms to be confiscated, as marijuana is still illegal under federal law. If I lived in Colorado I would refuse any such prescription.
Cbd and thc work for chronic pain. Not for immediate acute pain. After surgery or dental work etc or broken arm you need opiates.

And to work on chronic pain, herbal medicines need 2-3 months to build up in the bodys receptors. I use cbd from real cannabis and it works. But it took months to make that difference and it wouldnt help short termmacute pain.
