Theres a great old saying that goes, Nothing is as much fun as you think its going to be.
That aphorism is particularly fitting for Republicans who are eagerly looking forward to seeing this seasons crop of motley, uninspired Democratic presidential contenders turn on each other during the primary debates as they attempt to showcase their own dubious credentials at the expense of the others. One might think it would be remarkable cutthroat theater, an exhibition of desperate politicians unleashed, giving in to their basest survivalist instincts.
Its not going to happen.
The last time there was a large number of Democratic contenders vying for a wide-open nomination was in 2004. Howard Dean, John Kerry, John Edwards, Wesley Clark, Dennis Kucinich, Al Sharpton, and Dick Gephardt were among the big names who took their swings. Back then, too, Republicans looked forward to the prospect of intra-mural Democratic fireworks, dirty linen being embarrassingly unearthed and personal criticisms being leveled that would stick in the publics consciousness, regardless of who eventually won their partys nomination.
However, the debates didnt develop that way. Instead, the Democratic primary process turned on a political truism that has persisted since presidential politics entered the television age (which can be reasonably thought of as the 1960 JFK-Nixon campaign, featuring the first televised debate between presidential nominees). That political truism is this:

The real problem is the pathetic paddock of Republican candidates in the down ballot. The best and brightest want nothing to do with public life.
That political truism is this: All Republican presidents are evil, and their election puts the nation in grave danger. Every time a Republican gains the White House (Nixon in 1968, Reagan in 1980 and Trump in 2016) Democrats and the liberal mainstream media howl that the very foundations of our republic are at risk, civil liberties and hard-won minority and womens rights will be reversed, that cold-hearted, racist rich conservatives will run roughshod over the defenseless middle and lower classes, the environment will be permanently ruined and the incidence of homelessness will explode. George HW Bush was somewhat of an exception to this, because his milquetoast globalist persona didnt evoke the same degree of fear and loathing from liberal quarters as did the others.
If you believe that, then you've never gone whitewater rafting.
And you didn’t watch the 2016 election results.
Hell, I can watch that video of the Young Turks and it’s still fun every time.
What makes watching the Democrats fun this time isn’t dirt they dig up.
It’s watching them fall all over themselves to be the most transexual advocating candidate in the clown car in order to cater to the big money socialists even as women across the political boards
begin to rise up against that agenda.
I guess we will see if his prediction bears fruit, but you can’t compare one to the other in reality. A different cast of contenders may mean a different outcome altogether. Time will tell.
I would be surprised if this country voted for more of this nonsense from the Dems in 2020, but I’m not taking anything for granted.
ANYBODY, who actually believes ANYTHING claimed by the LEFTIST DIMocRATS and/or their apologists/propagandists of the “main-SLIME media’s” talking heads/scribblers, qualifies as “mentally challenged” and/or subnormal in IQ.

Ya wanna bet?
Half the people on Earth have below average IQ...
Likely true. - Certainly, the “true believers” to the “left of the political center” & “the far left” in particular generally fit that description.
