Okay - so they’ll reprint the yearbook?
That's exactly what they need to do. Apologies are worthless without corrective action.

A “mistake.” Of course. But isn’t it funny how the mistakes always go in one direction? What are the odds?

They are all about properly censoring speech.

Not enough.
The system must be mandated to use salary funds to reprint the yearbooks.

They’ll just put a small card in each yearbook apologizing for that unintentional mistake.

They apologized for a “mistake”?
Just how in hell do 2 identical and specific parts of a photo get “mistakenly” blurred out?

“Of course, it was not a mistake, it was deliberate.”
Blurring a photo is a purposeful act. It took planning, time, and a certain level of skill. Leaving the photo as taken would’ve been the default mode.

Means nothing, yearbooks won’t change.

I completely agree.
Reprint the entire yearbook.
For real.

I’d demand it or sue. Don’t want my final school picture to be half-blurred out simply because of some morons.

Well, let’s look at history. How did they deal with it when students Obama shirts got edited out in their yearbook photos? I mean that had to have happened, right?

“”It is not the policy or practice of the district to improperly censor speech,””
Every company, every school, every organization says the same thing when caught doing this! They forgot “It’s not who we are. We’re better than that.”
To: Responsibility2nd
Reprint all of them at school expense. Fire the teacher involved. Make cost high to set example.

Sue the administrators directly not the school district/taxpayers.

I was thinking more along the lines of getting the district admins removed.
Suing doesn’t really accomplish much. Lawyers get most of the money and when it’s an institution, like you point out, someone else foots the bill.
But if the fear of retribution can be put into the district admins, then a whole lot of this idiocy stops because THAT news would travel fast in that industry.
