EXCLUSIVE: Pete Buttigieg’s Pastor Brother-in-Law Blasts ‘False Narrative’ in WaPo Report

The 29-year-old political spouse said there was a lot of judgement when he came out as gay to his family, claiming to remember one of his brothers uttering, “No brother of mine …” during the conversation with his mom and dad, both of whom are nominally Catholic and were, according to Rhyan, very accepting of Chasten’s orientation.

“That was a long time ago, but that’s not what I would say. That’s not my character, that’s not my brother’s character,” Rhyan said. “Nobody ever rejected him at all. … I would say they embraced him even deeper.”

Chasten also told the Post he was homeless for a season — a claim Rhyan vehemently rebuffed, saying his brother was “never, ever” rejected.

So if Chasten felt any level of discomfort or fear over telling his family about his sexual orientation, Rhyan said, it was his own feelings, not “because anyone made him feel that way.”

“I think that’s the Spirit of God and I think the Spirit talks, even when people aren’t filled with the Holy Spirit,” he explained, “because we were created in his image with his conscience.”

***

His main concern, he explained, is the “neglect of Christ” in his brother’s life and the fact that, in his view, Pete is building a presidential campaign on a “false narrative,” again noting his family was “very welcoming” of Chasten’s lifestyle.

[A]ccording to Rhyan, the only members of his family who have faced rejection are those who have turned to the Christian faith. For his part, Rhyan, who came to Jesus after his own battle with drinking, hasn’t even spoken with his parents much in the last year.

“The further I get into my relationship with Christ,” he said, “the further my family distances themselves from me. That’s the truth.”

The media are determined to make the mayor of South Bend and his goofy gay partner into victims of hateful mobs of conservative Christians led by Mike Pence. The Washington Post decided to push that narrative with an attack on Chasten's brother Rhyan, an ordained evangelical minister--and apparently one of the few sane people in that family. (Who names their sons "Chasten" and "Rhyan"?) Great to see the brother pushing back.

I’m sure the MSM-Democrats will be giving Rhyan Glezman the same treatment they give Kellyanne Conway’s husband George.

The Left lies. They follow “The Father of Lies.”
There is a powerful reason that the New Testament emphasizes the teaching that Jesus is “The Truth.”

this is the most confusing article I’ve ever read...

This is Pete’s husband’s brother? Who is also a pastor? Or are they talking about two people, a pastor and his husband’s brother....?

or

Is the brother in law, married to Pete’s sister?

Get ready! The more Fox news helps this Buttplug clown pick up more steam, they’ll be lots and lots of more confusing articles like this one.

I saw a poll yesterday that had Pete with 6%. He’s getting a lot more than 6% of the coverage.

I wasn’t confused by it at all. And these words by the mayor’s brother-in-law, who is a pastor, contain quite a bit of wisdom concerning homosexuals:

So if Chasten felt any level of discomfort or fear over telling his family about his sexual orientation, Rhyan said, it was his own feelings, not “because anyone made him feel that way.”

“I think that’s the Spirit of God and I think the Spirit talks, even when people aren’t filled with the Holy Spirit,” he explained, “because we were created in his image with his conscience.”

The candidate is following the pattern shown by Billary, Inc., making stories fit the audience being spoken to; not to tell a truth, but to tell a story that gets an audience on their side.

It is difficult to excerpt an article in such a way that necessary background information is included along with the substance of the piece. This one was especially challenging; I simply assumed that anyone who wanted to read about Mayor Pete probably knew the background already. (Of course, you could read the whole piece at the link.)

What a lovely set of parents these clowns must have had.

Boy #1 grows up to be a fag.
Boy #2 grows up to be a self-professed Christian who loves fags.

The primary source of knowledge of God’s will is the Bible. It is crystal clear that all forms of homosexuality are sinful (Scripture calls is an abomination). It is illogical to claim to be a Christian and to practice homosexuality. The bottom line is that no practicing homosexual will enter the Kingdom of God.

Regarding Boy #2
Loving someone in a prayerful Christian way is not necessarily the same as condoning or accepting the lifestyle. The acts and consequences from these lifestyle choices will ultimately be taken into account by the Maker of this universe.

I understand that part of it. In short, they’re trying to make out to be victims here.

My irritation on how the article is written, even the headline....So, the pastor is also his brother in law...

But brother in law to whom? Is this Chasten’s brother or Pete’s sister’s husband...?

You can condemn the behaviour, while still loving the person— especially family members. I'd say the pastor is being an actual Christian.

Thank you. Apparently it is too hard for journalists to actually write coherently these days.

Loving someone in a prayerful Christian way is not necessarily the same as condoning or accepting the lifestyle.

But "loving someone" by the homosexual's estimate means "accepting them" as they, meaning affirming everything they want to do.

If I had a homosexual relative who wanted to bring his "lover" into our home for an overnight stay, I'd forbid it. That is not unloving, although it will viciously be attacked as "hate."

I’m not trying to be a pain in the butt but I truly did get it the first time I looked at it. The pastor is the brother of Mayor Pete’s alleged husband.

Remember how the MSM went over the top to make sure everyone knew Michelle Obama wasn’t an angry, militant black woman.
We of course found out she was EXACTLY that.

They are now covering up Buttplug for the same reason.
The Gay Mafia and VJ have now picked the candidate for 2020.
