WILKES-BARRE — As soon as Hector Berberena-Soto explained it was a “mistake” he sexually assaulted two girls, a stern Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Vough directed him to stop talking.
Berberena-Soto was sentenced Thursday to spend between four years, six months and 14 years in state prison.
“See it was a mistake,” Berberena-Soto said before he was shut down by Vough.
“It was a mistake sexually assaulting two girls? Stop!” Vough said before handing down the lengthy prison sentence.
Hazleton police arrested Berberena-Soto in August 2017 after investigating claims he had sexually assaulted the girls for six years.
The youths were questioned by a forensic interviewer at the Luzerne County Children’s Advocacy Center in May 2017.

Should be hung in public...but the legal ‘profession’ has failed us.

And not this pansy in 20 years BS. Death penalty verdicts are rare enough that the cases should be able to receive quick review. Give them 1 week of review for every month the trial lasted as all the process that they are due and then hang them from any handy tree with only minimal witnesses and no press.
Put him in a bad prison, in general population and you will save the cost of all the court proceedings.
They just arrested a local guy around here this week on child porn charges. Guess what he does for a living: pediatric nurse! I shudder to think...

Hey Pennsylvanians. Aren’t you tired of cowardly prosecutors getting light sentences of illegal, child molesters/rapists, etc? Aren’t you tired of cowardly judges not doing their duty to practice our children and giving these monsters the maximum sentence ON EVERY MAJOR CHARGE/ACCOUNT?
Aren’t you tired of Democrats ruining your cities and state with cowardice, out of control spending, handcuffing the police and ICE, suffering from a deadly flood of drugs that are killing your children, shit schools, corrupt politicians, and always excuses, never an apology?
If so, then “Remember these ravaged girls in November 2020”.
I love Pennsylvania but it is no longer safe for my family to go there. We don’t!!!

Hazelton was where Lou Barletta got his start as in politics as the mayor. Illegal migrants have turned that once nice place into a $hit hole.
The judge should have had his penis excised too! Hard to do much more “raping” if your “member’ has been removed!
