Siri is not a person. Siri is a simulation. If it were named Jack, and had a voice with a lower frequency, they would say it represented the patriarchy and male dominance.
Just imagine if Apple had named it “Akhmed.” Bearded savages would be threatening Apple headquarters.

Good tech question. Is it possible to program different voices on the listening devices?
A person could pick the voice they want?
Or reprogram someone else’s as a gag?

Is the UN not aware that you can change the voice and gender of Siri? Mine is set as a British man - much better for this Anglophile lady. When you ask Siri it lists a lot of languages and accents that it can do.

My phone has several choices for voice, M/F and nationalities.
Loved the BBT episode with Siri, the littler kids and I started talking to Siri afterwards.

I changed Siri (it’s in the setting) to have an Australian accent.
When I dial out in the car instead of a ‘ring’ there is a ‘buzz-buzz.’
