Democrats Aren’t Letting The Lack Of A Reason Stop Them From Pushing Impeachment

President Donald Trump must be guilty of something, the Democrats insist. After all, he tweets mean things and refuses to let White House staffers testify about their private interactions with him. Why else would someone do that? Besides, he’s a Republican, and in the liberal world, that is grounds enough to impeach. The only thing missing from the Democrats' push to undo the will of the people is any evidence or legal reason to do so, but they aren’t going to let that stop them.

Liberals know Donald Trump is corrupt, they just can’t prove it. That inability to prove it is not getting in the way of the march to impeach the 45th president of the United States, as the chorus of voices calling for the start of impeachment proceedings continues to grow.

Media Democrats are bedside themselves, upset at Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s hesitance to go all in on removing the president. Congressional Democrats have introduced impeachment resolutions and launched investigations in search of crimes in the hope of finding something, anything, to justify what they’re setting up. It’s the antithesis of what the justice system in this country is supposed to be.

But this is the justice system Democrats want, at least for everyone they don’t like. Brett Kavanaugh was guilty of something before he was even accused. When Christine Blasey Ford came forward with insane, unverified, unprovable “allegations” of sexual assault, that was enough for Democrats to turn into Torquemada. If they’d had the power, they would have executed him on the spot.

The “crime” any Republican is naturally guilty of is not being on their side, and the punishment is destruction. They’ll figure out a reason for that destruction later.

Nearly two years and $25 million dollars spent thoroughly combing through everything Trump related, coming up empty isn’t going to prevent them from their dream of destroying the man who beat Hillary Clinton. They’re still insisting Russian collusion happened, and they never stopped demanding that Donald Trump obstructed justice.

Robert Mueller, no Trump fan, found there was no collusion, but dreams die hard. He was more ambiguous on obstruction, leaving that to the Attorney General. William Barr, after a pow-wow with his top advisors, concluded that did not happen either. But Democrats insist it did.

Leftists insist mean tweets about Mueller are somehow obstruction. They are certain that telling a staffer to have Mueller fired, a right the president has, then not following up on it when it didn’t happen is the same as setting fire to evidence.

You’d think if the president wanted someone fired on, say, a Tuesday, and he’d given that order, by that Friday he might notice that the order wasn’t carried out. If he’d meant it, there’d likely be a second conversation, something along the lines of, “Hey, I can’t help but notice that the guy I told you to fire hasn’t been fired. What gives?” But that did not happen. So how does that qualify as obstruction of justice?

As weak as the case would be, there is no crime of “attempted obstruction of justice,” only obstruction of justice. It’s not like attempted murder, where someone tried and failed to kill someone, you either obstruct justice or you do not.

Growing up, I know I drove my parents nuts. And I knew it at the time. I can guarantee you there were times they, particularly my mother, said to someone, “I could kill that kid.” It’s natural. It’s also not attempted murder.

People say things, especially when angry, without ever acting on them. Donald Trump may well have told people to have Robert Mueller fired, but he didn’t act on it, he didn’t follow through on it. Mueller was able to complete his investigation, which he could have dragged out as long as he wanted, without interference and with complete cooperation from the White House. If that is obstruction, every dictionary needs to be rewritten.

Yet Democrats insist it is.

Moreover, they want to dig deeper. You can tell they know the weakness of their case by the fact that they’re desperate to find anything else.

They want 10 years of tax and business records to see if the President may have broken any laws. That’s the job of the IRS, which has been auditing Trump for decades and charged him with nothing. But Democrats no longer control the IRS, they can’t use it as a weapon against him like Obama did to his opponents, so they don’t trust it because it hasn’t come up with the results they want.

They're looking at impeachment in search of a reason, like a mob in search of a crime. That’s not how our criminal justice, or even political system, works. Investigations are launched when a crime has occurred, they aren’t launched to find a crime. They aren’t launched to justify an outcome.

There is no human being in the country whose every move has been scrutinized more than Donald Trump and they’ve come up empty. There are book deals, speaking fees, movie deals, and the undying love and devotion of every liberal in the country awaiting anyone with evidence that Donald Trump has broken the law, and no one has come forward.

There are lots of people who don’t like him, millions who would love to see him destroyed, but no one has come forward to claim the prize. That can’t be by accident.

Democrats won’t stop – they can’t stop – promises have been made, and the alternative would be to run against the strongest economy in a generation. They can’t compete with that, so an alternative had to be found.

Yes, impeachment, as has often been said, is a political act, but it shouldn’t be a political weapon. It’s all Democrats have, however, so they aren’t about to let the lack of a reason for it stand in their way.

The lawfare waged by the politicians against President Trump will be directed against us Americans if they succeed in removing him. If lawfare doesn't work, they will use their antifa shock troops to do violence against us. They will even declare it perfectly legal for them to do so.

This is why we must stand with President Trump. If he falls, America dies.

There are vicious diseased minds among us and they’re going to have to be dealt with sooner or later.

It IS directed at us - for voting for him.

This non-stop PR push by the Dems is to boost sagging morale while raising lots of money. Too much of their base either supported Trump or didn’t vote for Hillary; they have to remedy that...

We as American are absolutely disgusted with congress and their antics, THE PEOPLES WORK IS NOT GETTING DONE, THEY ARE NOT DOING THE JOB THEY WERE SENT TO DO! Come 2020 they all need to be removed from their positions. WE can do our part by giving President Trump and landslide victory and those who oppose this need to be voted out!

What high crime or misdemeanor is the President guilty of?

He did not collude with Russia, this we know.

Did he obstruct the investigation into a crime he did not commit? What would his motivation be to do so? There was no crime.

So now he supposedly is covering up his obstruction of an investigation into a crime that he did not commit?

Wow. The firing squad is too good for this guy.

Liberals know Donald Trump is corrupt, they just can’t prove it.

These are the same people who have wholeheartedly embraced postmodernism wherein reality is what you believe it to be.

Though the desired result of this kind of philosophy is that society is expanded to accept people who have in the past been treated cruelly as outcasts and to accept behavior that in the past has been condemned due to the strictness of Judeo/Christianity, the unintended consequence is that it causes those embracing it to also believe things as true merely because they want so badly for them TO BE true.

Instead of reality being the solid ground on which one's perception of life (i.e., consciousness) is built/constructed, desire/fantasy becomes the basis and the foundation of "truth."

This kind of philosophy--this kind of thinking--can cause an entire society to experience a kind of collective schizophrenia (loss of contact with reality), which is no small matter when one considers the power of mob behavior on individuals.

This is the "condition" which has infected the thinking and actions of the Democrats in Congress.

They see things that simply ARE NOT THERE.

What is driving them to the point of high anxiety is that "reality" keeps showing them that what they believe to exists isn't real.

The Mueller Report for example. It showed them that their perceptions about Trump are simply not true.

Because their "condition" is so acute, their reaction to the Mueller Report was not resignation ("oh well, we were wrong"), but hysteria and doubling down in their fantasies.

Whatever this may tell us, I think we can conclude that this is a grand example of God's sense of humor (i.e., disobey Him--the Ultimate Reality--at your own risk).;-)

Totally agree! When a person can completely believe a man can have a baby, and that person has the ability to make laws that punish those who don’t believe, we’ve got a real problem. Dems have gone 100% anti everything that’s real.

Republicans who don’t roll over and cave to the Democraps have to be guilty of something. Donald Trump’s only crime was not being a limp-wristed politician. Oh yeah he also beat that lazy, health challenged, entitled *itch.

The Democrats are trying to overwhelm the public with explosive histrionics in order to cover up--and if possible, prevent--the exposure of TRUTH.

This is the only strategy they have.

TRUTH is their worst nightmare. If TRUTH is revealed, their crimes will be revealed.

"What high crime or misdemeanor is the President guilty of?"

Impeachment is a political process. High crimes and misdemeanors are what ever the House wants them to be. The rules of criminal evidence need not apply. The Democrat controlled House can impeach over the way Trump combs his hair. The question will then become conviction and removal by the Senate. Never say never about removal as the personal hatrec of Trump is rampant in the swamp.

WRT Trump firing someone being obstruction of justice......(to braindead Democraps):

I still recall fondly....and will forever savor......the look on D/Fi's face as she ramped up the firing angle to AG Barr......

Barr told her succinctly: "That isnt a crime."

DiFi could not believe she was slapped down.

The brilliant Barr explained to the brainless DiFi that for it to be "obstruction" you have to have an underlying crime
(a known crime that the firing was meant to obstruct).

That shut her up.

Beautiful.

RE: Truth

That, indeed, is their worst fear, and it’s come true with President Trump - who calls them out for what they are without hesitation. The same goes for the pro-war lunatics on the right.

They don’t have a reason to impeach Trump because he is covering it up! Libtard cognition and they don’t even see the problem because they have learned to love cognitive dissonance.

President Trump is playing this perfectly. Drag it out and stall them so that the only thing they will have accomplished will be to impeach him, which will have absolutely no effect as the senate won’t convict him. Them he goes on the campaign trail, says “while they were spending two years attacking me, I made the economy the strongest it’s been in a lifetime, put minorities to work in never before seen numbers, and reclaimed the superpower of the world.

And he’ll walk to reelection.

AG Barr made real news at the Senate hearing, and while the press didn’t notice, Democrats did.
Barr said he’d already assigned people to investigate the origins of the Trump-Russia probe,
<><> that his review would be far-reaching,
<><> that he was obtaining details,
<><> from congressional investigations,
<><> from the ongoing probe by DOJ's IG Michael Horowitz,
<><> even from Mr. Mueller’s work,
<><> it wouldn’t focus solely on the fall 2016 justifications for secret FISA's against Trump's team,
<><> investigations would go back months earlier.

This is a country that murders its young to the tune of 60,000,000 in the past 46 years alone. T think America is in for a long tribulation.
