The Zune wasn’t so much a failure, it was just a victim of the massive success and ubiquity of the iPod.

I think the main reason for the Edsel’s failure was the weird grill. Just too unusual.

Coming to the list soon - driverless cars.....

The Edsel concepts were very interesting. But when the engineers and bean counters got done with it they were just reskinned fords and mercurys, and bizarre looking ones at that. The Pontiac Aztek was a very well built car. But it was butt ugly. The Buick version of the Aztek sold very nicely. Under the skin. And in the interior they were very similar. But the more traditional styling saved it from the Pontiacs fate.

Any Detroit Lions team after 1957. With the possible exception of 1991.

I just remember what a great day it was to be here in DFW with my Lions shirt after we crushed the Cowboys 38-6 in the playoffs.

Budweiser copper. I’ve had microbrews aged in whiskey barrels before that tasted good. This crap tasted like they dissolved pennies in old bud light.

Speaking as a native Michigander they are the perennial disappointment. I want the Lions to do better, I really do. But I’ve stopped waiting for it.

I’d put the failure of the numerous Windows CE-based devices that I wasted money on that lost the battle with Palm OS.
