The constitution appoints the Chief Justice to preside over the trial. Judges have broad discretion. The constitution call for high crimes and misdemeanors. That threshold has not been met. A judge could throw it out.

The Dems/media know that scary looking headlines are a very effective means to seed the reasoning process (a challenge to one celled organisms) of their brain dead emotion based voters, fully realizing these people obtain their “knowledge” from headlines.
Nadler, and all the other Democrat committees will keep this hysteria running at full squeal pitch right on up to the election. Of course, nothing of substance will come from any of this, but commie headline writers will be in total operational orgasmic mode.

There are at least 15 Rinos that are ready to vote right now for removal. If it gets to that point, expect another 20 Republicans to jump on that train because they want to be bipartisan. There will be 80-85 votes for when it comes down to it.

Good point. Pelosi and the Dems have been is disarray and infighting since winning the House and have been unable to accomplish what they though they could. Now you got Fred Keller and the three other Reps winning their elections by 60% or more in most cases.
I imagine the Dems were not expecting that.
They’ve tried to impeach every Republican President since Eisenhower. They forced Nixon to resign 47 years ago, but I don’t think that they can do the same with Trump.
1) If they do this, they will give rise to a definite 100% certainty of President Trump’s reelection.
2) If they do this, they may even give rise to acts of violence directed at them.
3) If they do this, they will start a new tradition, that every President from now on will be impeached by the opposing party.
If the Dims impeach, then they stay focused on 2016, consequently do nothing to prepare for 2020, and it all blows up in their faces and we win bigly. If they don't impeach, then Trump calls them out as the worthless cowards that they are, it blows up in their faces, and we win bigly in 2020.
They can choose their poison.
