I actually hesitated about posting this story, as such stories often attract all sorts of "Amish" comments (which I'm no fan of, but to each his own).

Permit me tell you what motivated me to make that statement in my post #1.

I once had a conversation about this with a Black Freeper, via FR mail. It was after a story something like this one. I had made a comment about the “Amish” thing, and he contacted me. He said the “Amish” thing often leads to veiled racist posts. Defects in African DNA, and all that crap.

He was wrong if he thought that all “Amish” postings were racist. That’s very far from the truth! And as they say, sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can never hurt you.

But yet I think he has a point.
