I don’t see how it could be American culture per se because I still believe the bar is so much higher than that. However, I do see it as being a part of the popular culture and unfortunately, people are exposed to much more of the pop culture, which is inherently political and thought to be the only culture that matters. Pop culture almost always tries to make itself look better and more important than what it really is. They make worst case scenarios seem like they might not be so bad, and they want you and your children to “participate”.
Chicago will soon become the same sort of decaying rubble Detroit has become. They’ve been on the way, but now all kinds of expensive virtue signaling will come way far ahead of what needs to be done to keep the city functioning at a half way decent level.

Warn a guy, will ya? At least she has all the right social justice boxes checked off. Whether she’s competent or qualified to be mayor, well that’s another issue. But then again, why would someone qualified want to be mayor of that “hell hole”?
