Mayor Pete Buttigieg is the "most impressive... candidate" in terms of political talent in the current 2020 Democratic presidential field, Brit Hume said, comparing the South Bend, Ind. mayor's rise in popularity to the "emergence of Barack Obama."
Hume said Buttigieg is "as fluid as he can be, [and] he seems to have something to say about nearly every issue."

I think Brit Hume is correct regarding Mayor Pete, Alfred E Neumann. He is articulate, and he is attractive in a school boyish way. However, he is also shallow, which is typical of liberals who think everything can be resolved thru government action with taxpayer’s money.

It’s certainly possible he’ll get the candidacy as a media darling — getting the election is another story. People are getting fed up with the mythical media.

I think Hume is simply playing this along, helping to set the stage. Nationally, Buttigieg is the weakest of the top ten contenders and Trump could easily overwhelm him in forty-plus states. White gay guy? How many blacks or Latinos would buy into that scenario and vote for the guy?
