Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan says he enlists social media to do something unusual: explain why he bucks his party in terms his constituents can understand.
The 39-year-old Republican, who was the youngest member of the freshman class in 2011, states his approach succinctly: “I defend liberty and explain every vote here.” The simple formula has turned the libertarian, who rode into the House on the tea party wave, into something of a sensation. In 2012, the Independent Voter Network called Amash the “coolest member of Congress.”

Failed politician, virtually unknown until now. This is likely is Hail Mary to get 15 minutes of national fame, then leave Congress and take a better paying job at CNN or MSNBC.

Eight years ago, it was (briefly) or, at least, that is how he marketed himself to get elected. Now? Not so much.

This current guy voted with trump 92 percent of the time and has won the seat 5 times. Can this dude do the same???? Also running his mouth doesn’t mean he’ll vote for impeachment if we even get to that point.
He said if he loses the republican primary, he’ll run as a libertarian. Great. Another seat to democrats. He voted with trump 92 percent.
Had it not been for Trump, Amash would continue to enjoy the perks of GovCo privilege while safely and quietly operating behind his All-American conservative facade.
