I’d never heard of any of this before.
Booker built his political career on the nauseating fawning and financial support from wealthy Jewish donors in New Jersey. He made them look like dopes when he turned around and backed Obamas Iran deal. These misfits still fawn over him a bit, but the financial support for his presidential run never materialized.
I’m no fan of Booker. And yes he was obviously scamming for a big payoff. Just like Zucker with his son.
But having a venture fail in Silicon Valley isn’t a big thing and I still haven’t ruled out Booker in the primaries—if they go through the other favorites and they all flame out.
Meanwhile kid Zucker is now following in Dad’s footsteps, writing on the financial beat for the Crimson while at Harvard:
