A Church of England vicar has criticised for organising a celebration Ramadan in her parish church. The Reverend Lissa Scott agreed for the celebration of the Muslim fast to take place in St Matthew and St Luke’s church in Darlington. As part of the event, the Reverend agreed to 'cover up' the church's cross and a copy of The Light of the World, a well-known devotional painting of Jesus by the pre-Raphaelite artist William Holman Hunt.

If I were in a position of power in England, I’d tell them we started as a Christian society a millennia ago and see no reason to change now. If this offends you, go to a non-Christian country to live. But then, that’s probably why I would be considered “unelectable”.

The Church of England is barely Christian! It’s just like the The Episcopal and Methodist Churchs...just a tiny wiff of true Christianity!
