It is not possible to commit a hate crime against a Jew or Christian in northern or western Europe, and many other places. It is not possible to avoid being a hate crime with any transgression against a Muslim in those same places.
Hate crime is an idiotic construct which I believe is limited to the U.S., courtesy of Barney Frank. The writer assumes that Europe shares Frank’s homosexual paranoia. Some hate is more equal than others.
If that’s true about the police, they are worthless in these situations.
