John Durham, the prosecutor tapped by Attorney General William Barr to investigate how Trump-Russia allegations emerged and spread within federal law enforcement, has already been looking into whether the FBIs former top lawyer, James Baker, illegally leaked to reporters.
In fact, the U.S. attorney from Connecticut appears to have begun that work more than seven months ago, to judge from an underreported transcript of an October congressional interview with Baker. The Baker interview, at which Durham was not present, suggests that the prosecutor nevertheless has some people very worried.
Baker testified about the Trump-Russia affair on Oct. 3 before the House Judiciary Committee and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

All talk until we hear some charges. Since prosecutors are supposed to be able to get indictments for almost anything, it would sure be Nice to see several out there.
What always concerns me about the other side is they will go to the ends of the earth to find dirt on the good guys and compromise them.
We need to do that more but the left has no shame.
Franken was a fluke that will not be seen again.
And yes, a good guy can have not so good things in his last.
After all, a lifetime is a long time to be perfect.
Maybe OUR guys shouldn’t be so quick to give in or step down.
“All talk until we hear some charges.”
After 2 years of this one could sure feel this way. Lucy take your football and shove it.
Maybe OUR guys shouldnt be so quick to give in or step down.

Most of them are not OUR guys. They work for the special interests groups in DC that support them, not for us.
I read somewhere that Baker was an appointed FBI employee - an attorney. He was never a career FBI employee, coming up from the ranks; starting as a Special Agent. Is that correct??
Yeah we really dont have many OUR GUYS.
When will the Hillarygate probe haunt the “progressives” for months?
Imagine the things Trump could have accomplished had OUR guys actually supported him! They are, by the way, the same people who squandered their majority in congress for two precious years.

Mistakes. Yeah, right. How convenient and disingenuous of him to frame it that way.
Blame Ryan, the guy from TN and the 35 other eunuchs that retired for that one.
YEP!
Go get em Bull!
I really haven’t thought about the monumental chance that was lost.
Most R presidents will never really want what Trump was willing to sign.
Oh well, to the future and hopes for some more conservatives in 2020.
Blame Ryan, the guy from TN and the 35 other eunuchs that retired for that one.

What about all the rest of them who could have removed Ryan as Speaker?
Its been over 2 years now...time for progressives to start complaining about moving on.
My feeling is that the R’s will never really support conservative interests and principles. Reagan and Trump tied to show them the WAY but the party always seeks its normal state of weakness and appeasement much like water seeks its own level. The party’s DNA just is what it is. We only vote for them because they are the lesser of two evils.
I wish a new conservative party would emerge that reflects and embraces most of Trump’s goals. Prolly won’t happen but its fun to think about.
Yep. Thanks for the reminder of socialist’s slimy tactics.
Interesting. Mueller had perjury traps, indictments and guilty pleas in less time than Durham has been stalled on “investigation.” The fix is in. No doubt.
