The democrats have been helping the Russians for a lot longer than that. FDR’s closet advisor was a tireless advocate for supporting Stalin and the Soviet expansion.

Does it matter? Only if Trump takes action. So far, NOTHING! Not a total downer but things are heating up and then “wait”. If the IG Report is ready, release it. If Huber is ready, prosecute. The new guy from Ct. should already have enough to prosecute everybody. Do we really have “it all” or is this a game?

What? They just LUCKED OUT when their one target turned out to be the candidate..?

Ridiculous:

Our government has been assiduously tracking Russians’ activities in this country since 1917.

What were they supposed to do when suddenly they saw all these contacts between Russia and the Trump campaign staff, ignore it? They weren’t targeting Trump, they were targeting Russia, but Russia was targeting Trump.

Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson

What's peculiar is how the other founder or founders of Fusion GPS are getting a complete pass.

I’m not sure how much that Simpson article looks like the dossier. All it really shows is that Simpson has been accusing Republicans of Russian coziness for a long time.

Amazing how they (the left) loved the Soviet Russians back when they were hard-line commies, and (pretend to) hate Russia now!

Not really breaking — just breaking through now to the MSM (a tiny bit).

It discussed the growing trend of wealthy foreigners, Russians in particular, to hire influential Washington insiders as lobbyists, for help with legal troubles or simply to be introduced to the city’s rich and the powerful.

Yes, yes, those eeeeevil Russians. Meanwhile the Chinese influence is entirely ignored. Wonder why that is...

Glenn Simpson's wife Mary Jacoby's been down this impeachment setup way before:

THINNER GRUEL (Joe Wilson) NROTC ^ | 7/16/04 | Jonah Goldberg Posted by swilhelm73

Salon.com has a "defense" of Joe Wilson. For the most part, the piece is a dull, he-said she-said about the controversy so far, generally sympathetic to Wilson, with some sneaky bits hid in the dull prose in order to make them seem more reasonable. For example the author, Mary Jacoby, says "But no sale of uranium ever took place, Wilson reported, and that conclusion is not in dispute." That's true, but Bush never said Iraq purchased the uranium, he merely said Iraq sought it. Wilson said Iraq didn't and that his cryptic sweet-tea swilling conversations proved it. That's the part that's in dispute. Nobody sent Wilson to Africa because they thought Iraq actually obtained the uranium. This is a back-handed way of bolstering Wilson's "credibility" in an area where it was never questioned. Wilson, by the way, also contends that Africa is by and large a very hot contintent with many exotic animals. That conclusion is not in dispute either. …/snip

He said it should really be called the “Simpson” dossier.

It should really be called the “Hillary” dossier.

The status of Steele, with his official U.K. intel connections, and the juncture of those connections with the U.S. deep state at CIA, FBI & DOJ, gave the material the “official” imprimatur that helped “sell” it inside the Obama administration. Left as though authored mostly by Simpson the clarity of the docement as a political opposition paper was more exposed.

This occurred resulting in the BHO phenomena. The marxist muslim coaliton was already deep into play. It is the entrenchment of the last 16 years that is proving to be a problem. Uprooting of the Obama entrenched members is a must!

In his book “Spygate,” journalist Dan Bongino makes the same case. He points out the striking similarities between articles Simpson and his wife, Mary Jacoby wrote for the Wall Street Journal in 2007 and 2008 and the Steele dossier.

I heard Bongino discussing this on his podcast a few months ago.

Ted Kennedy asked leaders of the Soviet Union to help the Democrats defeat President Reagan in the 1984 presidential election in a secret letter that he sent in 1983.

If you’ve been listening to Dan Bongino’s podcasts, up to yesterday’s #970, it puts all the pieces together. Dan points out that Devin Nunez has known for the past two years what the exact origins of this stuff is. Remember when Nunez went to the White house and went into the SCIF? He walked out and had a press conference and said what he read was quite disturbing, and Americans would be shocked. Trey Gowdy (Rooster) said as much on Fox the day before because he’s seen the classified stuff too.

Here’s the gist of it:
Simpson/Jacoby attempted to use a Spooky Russians/Ukrainians template against McCain/Republicans in 2007 but ended up not getting traction. The latest Dan discussed yesterday is that Fusion GPS actually worked with Stefan Halper who worked with former KGB Intel guys at a University giving courses (the one in Italy I believe that blew up last week because of articles about Joseph Misfud). Simpson/Halper fed stuff into Brennan while creating a parallel construct to also feed through to Steele. What FBI/Comey/Page/Struck-Stroke-Smirk knew about was through Steele. What Brennan knew about was via Halper, et al. Thus the disconnect in Page’s testimony about ‘their’ source.

The much larger point that Dan didn’t expand on as much was that Obama/Brennan have been using CIA/Intel to spy on ordinary Americans for a while. Trump effort was a resurrection of the Simpson playbook to smear. Meuller/VEIS-MAN(Mark Levin’s pronunciation of Andrew Weissman), was to A. burn Trump and B. provide cover for the treasonous operations that had been going on for years.

What Dan mentioned the past few days is the treasonous tools got played by the Ruskies who fed bogus information into the channels.

Read Dan’s latest book and listen to the free podcasts. You’ll be disgusted and furious at the same time.

If Deep State would do this to a candidate, a president-elect, a sitting president why wouldn’t they do it to Congressmen, Senators, Supreme Court justices...

My bet is they’ve been doing this to a lot of people for quite a while...

Republicans like Nunes need to learn when to shut up and that would be now. This will only be used as a scape goat for those that attempted this coup. Stop giving them ideas and other people to lay blame. Prosecute, prosecute, prosecute. Long jail sentences must happen.
