It Happened Again: Trump Administration Slaps Away Another Subpoena Issued By House Democrats

The Trump administration isn’t backing down from their war with House Democrats. We all saw this coming miles away. The Trump administration partially based on the fact that this was a crew that was going to fight for the forgotten American and they have. The House Democratic majority was elected in 2018 to fight the Trump agenda. There is no room for cooperation. There is no room for compromise. In other words, it’s what I love about our political system: conflict. Gridlock is a good thing. Division and partisanship is a good thing, and the more of it, the more honest we can be. Democrats and Republicans are different. We’re on separate wavelengths, especially when it comes to values. For example, I’m grateful my party doesn’t aggressively promote infanticide as we’ve seen over the past few months. Yet, that’s a separate issue.

Once again, the Trump administration told House Democrats to go pound sand over the latest subpoena concerning the president’s taxes . Democrats want six years worth of returns, including those related to the president’s businesses. Why? It’s part of their impeachment crusade. It’s a political stunt, which is why the Trump White House told them to go shove it…again (via NBC News ):

The Treasury Department said Friday that it would not comply with congressional subpoenas to provide six years of President Donald Trump’s tax returns.

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin sent a letter to House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal, D-Mass, before the 5 p.m. ET deadline to hand over the documents. Mnuchin said that, on advice of the Justice Department, Treasury had determined that the committee's request "lacks a legitimate legislative purpose," and so the department is not "authorized to disclose the requested returns."

"For the same reasons, we are unable to provide the requested information in response to the Committee’s subpoena," Mnuchin said.

Neal responded Friday saying that the law provides "clear statutory authority" for him to request and received access to tax returns and return information.

This isn’t the only subpoena the Trump White House has slapped down. The one issued for former White House Counsel Don McGahn was also rejected . The Democrats promised their base an impeachment spectacle and despite the establishment’s hopes to avoid such a spectacle, they will have to give their rabid left-wing masses something. We all know the game that’s being played here. The impeachment hearings the Democrats are holding have but one goal. Hold the line, Trump White House. Hold. The. Line.

Hold the line, Trump White House.

I want to see the White House bloody the House Democrats to insignificance! Not just hold the line, indict and jail the democrat miscreants. Insult them, stomp them, sic the justice department on them. The only good democrat is an out-of-power democrat.

Maybe the democrats might want to start acting like grownups instead of 3yr old brats?

Naaaaaaahhh... That won’t happen, they’re incapable.

Really though, the dems are just running a diversion operation. They’re crapping in their pants realizing they allowed Obama and his marxist idiots to destroy their party and it’s only a matter of time now before their days of reckoning, therefore they need to divert attention.

It ain’t working though, they’re really just calling more attention to the conspiracy and coup attempt. I’m going to invest in more popcorn stock now.

Some day the House will figure out that to enforce a subpoena against the Executive Department they must go to . . . the DOJ.

On the face of it I’m a little bit concerned when any administration refuses to answer a congressional subpoena. (I know, I’m hidebound by rules) Seems to me they should go down and read a statement claiming “executive privilege” in whatever specifics, then answer whatever questions they choose to answer. If the specific administration official is unavailable, send down an official from the relevant Department bearing a written privilege claim.

I'm not concerned at all. When dealing with childish hyenas who are playing political games rather than working for the public good, it is best to not respond to a ridiculous subpoena that bears no weight on fact-finding, especially in light of the fact that Congress democrats ignore a DOJ fact-finding report that closed the case. No response whatsoever! The ball is no longer in their court, and it is game over. No more appeasement of childish behavior in Congress.

Toughen up. Do not cooperate with these childish seditionists . Humiliate and ridicule them. Imprison them, if possible . No quarter .
