US citizens who need help in Austria can now head to their nearest branch of McDonald's, because of an agreement signed by the fast-food giant.
The embassy says any American "in distress" or whose passport has been lost or stolen can get assistance from one Austria's 194 McDonald's joints.

Interesting idea. Why Austria?
interesting idea.
why McDonalds?
(barf!)
Well that makes sense because McDonalds is a burger joint and....and....er...
Forget it.
Why Austria?
Obama speaks Austrian.

We have become too stupid to get to the embassy.
He doesn’t need corpse-men translators.
So now one can McSolve a McCrisis in Austria. Would have made “The Sound Of Music” really different.
I don’t get why that was thought of or even agreed to.
Even if ‘Muslim refugees’ are a factor, several other countries are in far worse turmoil due to these ‘refugees’.
Maybe Assange should have ran into a Mickey-Dees in London, vs the Ecuadorian Embassy. The food may even have been better.

I’ve had them help me with simple things like how much do the buses cost to translating with a rental car company.
Taksim square in instanbul used to have the biggest ronald mcdonald statute. It made me feel safe and close to home /s
Walmarts abound. Midas also has lots of open air repair shops in Mexico. Are they not a destination?
The mcsound of mcmusic? That isn’t inspiring at all unless one has a mcjones for mchamburgers.
But as McDonalds is iconic of America — why can’t Ronald McDonald be America’s symbolic ambassador?
Perhaps the McD grub destroyed our brains as I believe it destroys our bodies
It is SICKENING that anyone would step foot into a McDonald’s in the first place, but being out of the country without a passport sometimes requires doing things that no sane person would ever consider.
The big advantage, however, is that one won’t have to figure out how to travel possibly hundreds of miles to get to the embassy before getting some help.
OF I lose my passport and my first thought is where is the closest US consulate or US embassy....
yes. (and hopefully avoid need to travel to hospital, too...
bring your own food)
