Actually he is largely right. Definitely in describing the principles of the Constitution. And he’s right about Wilson basically scrapping everything, which has become the precedent which just about every pres has tried since then.

The law and history Nap writes about should be discussed. Ad Hominem attacks deprive you and other Freepers of finding the truth of the issues.

I’m sorry but why discuss “law and history” that just isn’t so? I have a real problem not with Nap expressing positions. Rather, I have a problem with him doing so under the imprimatur of being an expert who knows more than you and I.
Take his argument that tariffs are taxes and only congress can impose them. As if Trump is the first POTUS to impose them. OMG!!! For goodness sakes it is so easy to shoot that false statement down that even CNN can do it:

Congress has granted the POTUS the power to impose tariffs. They can take it back if they want.
