President Donald Trump enjoyed his meeting with Hungary's authoritarian prime minister so much that he likened the Hungarian leader to a twin brother, according to the countrys media reports.
As their meeting at the White House came to a close on Monday, President Trump turned to Viktor Orbán and said, Its like were twins, U.S. Ambassador to Hungary David Cornstein told the Hungarian news outlet 444.hu.
During a public press conference that same day, Trump expressed a similar sentiment: Viktor Orbán has done a tremendous job in so many different ways. Hes highly respected, respected all over Europe. Probably like me a little bit controversial, but thats OK. Thats OK. Youve done a good job. And youve kept your country safe, Trump told Orbán in front of reporters during the joint press conference.

I’m guessing Trump has a much better looking wife.
“authoritarian”
OK, I’m stumped. What makes Orban “authoritarian”, other than that the author doesn’t like him?
Authoritarian?!?!?
Funny you never hear them call, say Maduro, “Authoritarian”.
He’s enormously popular, anti-globalist, and protects the Hungarian people.
From Wakipedia: “According to Politico, Orbán political philosophy ‘echoes the resentments of what were once the peasant and working classes’ by promoting an ‘uncompromising defense of national sovereignty and a transparent distrust of Europe’s ruling establishments’”.
Somehow THAT got translated to “authoritarian”?! Exactly whose personal freedoms get infringed with that thinking again?
“Orban was already able to do it”
Orban doesn’t have a huge opposition political party with the backing of every news outlet actively trying to get as many illegal invaders across the border as possible.
Here’s the dictionary definition of “authoritarian”
“of or relating to a governmental or political system, principle, or practice in which individual freedom is held as completely subordinate to the power or authority of the state, centered either in one person or a small group that is not constitutionally accountable to the people.”
Closely describes the globalist sympathies of Newsweek and their ilk, no? Who are the authoritarians, then?
Exactly. Orban is very popular and gets a lot of support.
Unfortunately here there are too many people who don’t put US interests first.
The Hungarian Press is pretty anti-Orban. I’m sure most of the “journalists” there are on Soros’ payroll.
“What makes Orban authoritarian, other than that the author doesnt like him?”
The fact that he’s democratically elected, unlike the thugs the author idolizes
Authoritarian = believes in national borders
Authoritarian = believes in national borders

yup
Orban made Soros close his “university”, which was teaching nothing but propaganda.
They hate Hungary because of no homo promo laws...
I haven’t believed anything Newsweek said since they published a fake story about our troops flushing a Koran down a toilet. At least 100 in Afghanistan and Pakistan died from the riots caused by that lie.
No bias there from #FakeNews Newsweak.
Im guessing Trump has a much better looking wife.
You cannot always judge a book by its cover.
