COLUMBIA, SC The fire that damaged two homes near the University of South Carolina Tuesday morning is being investigated as arson, and police are looking for a man in connection with the incident, according to the Columbia Police Department.
Columbia Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins said the fire, which involved two homes on Greene Street, has been deemed suspicious.
The Columbia Police Department released a surveillance image of a man they say is suspected of setting the fire.

My daughter went to the University of Vermont. In her second year she got an off campus apartment. I was shocked. It was a broken down slum.
It will be interesting to know the arsonist’s motivation.
That and open primaries give us milquetoast cheap labor Republicans like Graham and Timmons. Slowly but surely South Carolina is trending towards a lighter shade of purple.
You’re right. i am a retired refugee from Ct living in SC. Open primaries in Ct led to the fall of that once great state.
When the topic comes up, I tell anyone from blue states who complain about SC politics to STFU. We’re visitors here passing through. Leave the destiny of SC to the natives. They’ve done a wonderful job so far.
