Former Vice President Joe Biden denied Monday that his son Hunter Biden asked him for a favor in Ukraine while serving on the energy board of a Ukrainian energy company.
“We never once discussed it when he was there,” Biden told the Associated Press. “There’s not a single bit of evidence that’s been shown in any reporting that’s been done that he ever talked about it with me or asked any government official for a favor.”
When he was vice president, Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees for Ukraine if officials did not fire the country’s top prosecutor, who was pursuing a corruption investigation of an energy company while his son Hunter was serving on the board.
The connection was revealed in author Peter Schweizer’s best-selling book Secret Empires, and the reporting was confirmed in the New York Times.

In February 2014, as Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula, then-President Obama appointed Biden as the administration's point of contact in Ukraine.
Biden then strong-armed Ukraine into firing Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin by threatening Ukranian President Petro Poroshenko that the Obama administration would withdraw $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees if he didn't immediately fire its top prosecutor.
Poroshenko had six hours to decide if he would give into Biden's demands or if his nation of 45 million would face insolvency. He begrudgingly compiled.
Shokin had led a sweeping corruption probe into Burisma Holdings – a natural gas firm that employed Hunter Biden as a member of the board.
Michael Knowles, writing for the Daily Wire, said:
Why is that? Is it because Hunter Biden is some expert on Ukrainian U.S. relations? No. Is it because Hunter Biden is an expert on Russian Ukrainian relations? No. Is it because Hunter Biden is an expert on energy policy? No. He got the money as a payoff crony deal because his father was threatening to withhold money from the Ukraine, until he got this sweetheart deal. Joe Biden actually basically bragged about this at the Council on Foreign Relations in December of 2015.
This is a real scandal. This is real corruption. This is a real reason that Joe Biden should not be president, also it's collusion. I guess it's Ukrainian collusion or is it Russian collusion - I don't know but it is collusion, and that's a real reason. Demagoguing and race hustling and saying that Mitt Romney wants to put black people back in chains - that's a reason that he shouldn't be president. The fact that he's a plagiarist which is why he had to drop out of the 1988 presidential race - that's a reason that he shouldn't be president. And the issue with the plagiarism is that Joe Biden is an empty suit, he's a walking grin. That's all he is. All good reasons to prevent Joe Biden from being president.
“I have great confidence in my son,” Biden said. “He’s a man of great integrity.”

An innocent man says “ I didn’t do it”. A guilty man says “you’ve got no evidence”

The Justice Department must appoint a special counsel to investigate Biden and his son for collusion, to get to the truth. Stretch it out two years, or however long it takes. The people demand the truth.

Truth is, it doesn’t matter whether his son asked him to intercede or not. The fact is that he did it and, like the dumbass he is, he bragged about it. Tough to walk it back now.

Joe is not denying the accusation, just saying there is no evidence.

Perhaps, but give it a few weeks and your opponents will fabricate a dossier on it and tie your ass in knots for the next two years...they've done it before.
This of course means there is so much evidence there aren’t enough hard drives in Ukraine to store it!
