When someone asked Reagan about his Cold War strategy, Reagan replied “We win”.
Which is what happened. If we are resolute and if we are determined to win, we will.
China is a weaker opponent than the Soviet Union. China really depends on us. We do not actually depend on them. If we firmly decide that China is going to lose this trade war, then they will. I have complete faith in Trump. He knows our strength.

I would LOVE to buy goods not made in China. I’ve wanted that for years. But product after product is “Made in China”, “Assembled in China”, etc. Merchants don’t even offer USA-made products, for the most part.

So long as Norway doesn’t bomb Pearl Harbor, this is a “People’s War” we will win
I already own more than I need and can easily avoid Chinese products...

FTA: "In the end, China is confident that it now knows the U.S. only too well, and it is mastering the political, economic, cultural, and military methods of nullifying American advantages. And it may be right."
China's experience is based on Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43, and Obama.
IMHO, China has seriously underestimated POTUS Trump. A mistake they will come to regret.

They (pre-Pearl Harbor Japanese and modern Chinese) equated their experience of Western affluence with license and decadence and, as a result, were determined to marry Western engineering expertise with superior Asian discipline, nationalism, and patriotism to nullify the United States as a great Pacific power. Right. On. Target.

Another brilliant synopsis by VDH.
National Review would collapse without him.

... we forgot that nations that copy the West do not do so out of empathy or veneration. More often, they pick and choose what to buy, steal, or copy, entirely in their own interest. They often see superior Western science arising despite, not because of, Western freedom, and therefore they think it can be improved upon when grafted to a properly authoritarian or totalitarian root. It's wonderful having people as insightful as Victor Davis Hanson ... even if it's kinda scary at times that people with that insight exist. Sowell, Johnathan Turley and Victor Davis Hanson ... Thank God they're on our side.

China is our natural enemy.
Not Russia.
The sooner this Republic realizes it, the better our chances of survival.
