These are closer to 120 manhour work weeks or 17 manhour days if working 7 days/wk. (add 40 manhr to the overtime reported, but then again, time and a half and double time rates may have accounted for some of these, so probably steady 12+ hrs daily with no days off.)

Appears to be hours worked, not premium time hours.

Pazmino — who has worked for the railroad since 1985 — made the extra moolah by putting in for 4,157 hours of overtime, along with 1,688 hours he worked at his regular $35-an-hour rate, the MTA revealed Monday.

That works out to an average of 22.4 hours a day from Monday to Friday — or 16 hours a day, 365 days in the year.

The MTA couldn’t say how many hours Pazmino had logged in a single shift — but noted weekend tours can last up to 55 hours during an outage.

When I was young I worked 16hrs per day, 7days per week for two years and three months. Pay was minimum wage. 3 different jobs. Restaurant dish washer. I did this just to get by and keep the family alive. Thanks Jimmy Carter. Wouldn’t want to do it again. These union workers in NYC are thieving pigs and deserve jail time.

I worked for months from 8 AM to midnight and ate lunch at my desk Monday -> Saturday, then "slacked" on Sunday working only 6 hours to allow time to do my laundry and go to the range. Keith's Diner near Miramar Road / I-15 in San Diego provided my dinner. I was in the rack by 1 AM, back up at 7 AM. That went on from Jan 2001 to Feb 2002. The bonus...I was salaried an only paid for 40 hours a week. My time was billed to the customer at $250/hour. Reasonable considering I replaced 2 EEs, 2 C++ programmers and 4 Java programmers AND ran the test lab for the in-vehicle equipment.

The final indignity when I returned home in Feb 2002 was a LAYOFF Notice delivered by FedEx. No phone call or "head's up". It turns out that my slave labor was generating a lot of money to cover a room full of other IDLE employees. The "startup" shut the doors in mid Feb 2002 and the cash flow stopped. I was no longer a "useful" cash cow and was rewarded appropriately.

A small measure of revenge followed. I tracked down a new $1 million contract with an auto manufacturer. The prior manager called wanting "a piece of it". Without hesitation I said, "piss off".
