Bryan Carmody, a freelance reporter in San Francisco, awoke Friday to the sounds of someone trying to break into his house.

About 10 officers from the San Francisco Police Department were bashing the front gate of his Outer-Richmond home with a sledgehammer, he said. It was just after 8 o'clock in the morning.

Two weeks before, police investigators showed up at his home to ask him, politely he says, to identify the source who provided him with a confidential police report about the February death of the city's public defender, Jeff Adachi.

Jeff Adachi was the San Francisco public defender who got illegal alien Jose Ines Garcia Zarate off in the death of Kate Steinle who he gunned down on the city's water front. Adachi was found dead in a woman not his wife's apartment he died of a cocaine overdose. Too bad the truth got out.

I don’t care. If it were Sharyll Atkisson, I would care. Reporters’ real job is to deceive the public for a radical super-elite that has formed a long-term faction with progressives. But that’s just the frosting, the cake is Madison Avenue’s opinion formation craft, which has been operating at full steam dictating what hundreds of millions think since Ivy Lee and Edward Bernays in the early 20th century. They are naturally in bed with the press and big govt free stuff radical sex zombies. May they cut off all their own ….

One imagines he will soon be retiring on the SF taxpayers money.

Sounds like some noir film plot rejected in the 1940s by a grindhouse studio as implausible.

Reporters crying about the police state they instigate are the type of African hostage Darwin award types.

I care for real journalism and speech, not for these hysteric turncoats with a severe whore case of Stockholm syndrome

It’s not a crime to refuse to give the police information. A judge can sometimes hold a witness in contempt for refusing to testify, but we are not told that this guy was a witness.

There’s got to be a weird punchline here, somewhere, like he hears his house being broken in to, he calls the cops to report it and *zip!*, there they are, right on his doorstep in record time.

The guy didn’t have a “heart attack”. He OD’d on coke & the SF powers that be wanted to cover it up. This guy told the truth, is in jail for it, & we have FReepers cheering the SF Gestapo.

Just a reward for catching the bad guys.
The dead public defender died doing what he liked.

I have some more evidence for you. In the 1980's and into the 1990's my youngest brother was a telecommunications contractor installing equipment all over the US. He was working a job at telephone offices in the UP of Michigan. You should understand, that kind of work has to be done at night while most people are asleep so there is less impact on the network if something goes wrong.

He got off work one morning in the early dawn hours and on his way back to the short term motel, he passed a drive-in theatre that looked like a warzone. There was evidence of automatic weapons fire on the marquee and fences with police vehicles there in force. Instead of going to sleep right then, he stayed up and watched the local news. There was nothing about it at all. He checked the newspapers that day and still nothing. They next day he asked one of the craft workers at the Central Office and was told that the family that owned the drive-in also owned all the news outlets in the area.

So, you are right, they will publish anything they want you to know.
