It’s hard to explain things to people who are essentially disinterested, and have limited historical knowledge of the region. Though lots of people figure it out. To the extent the internet is demeaned for providing a platform for hate, it also provides information for people interested in making up their mind about issues. Long lasting mideas feuds, not much different that western Europe. Or Asia, these things have lives of their own, often unreated to reality. The garden, you’re right. Though there is no modern political agreement as to who are the weeds. I suspect that’s human nature.
