The University of Iowa has earmarked over $2.7 million for its Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for this fiscal year. The budget, a copy of which was obtained by The College Fix, spans nearly 70 different activities and spending categories.
Formerly known as the “Chief Diversity Office,” the division states as its goal achieving “excellence through diversity, equity, and inclusion” by “providing leadership and resources to advance UI’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals, coordinating central diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, advancing recruitment and retention of faculty, students, and staff, enhancing a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive climate for all, and connecting with community diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.”

the largest single share of the $2.7 million is dedicated to the salaries of staff and personnel. Those expenditures total roughly $1.9 million.

Among those is a program called “Better Hawkeyes, Better Men,” which is “dedicated to promoting healthy masculinity across campus, specifically engaging groups where students who identify as men come together.” Another program distributes “safer sex supplies inclusive of all sexual orientations” to various locations around campus.

I think this is wonderful news. How much of the $2.7 million dollars did they set aside to advance the better treatment of white, heterosexual, Christian males?
I’m sure they set up an office just for that!
Tax dollars and hapless parents’ many sacrifices that led to enough money available for their child to go to college there.
Might as well have just bought the Mazda Miata and the trip around the Mediterranean.
That college is a waste of money.
Why not spend the money instead, on hiring great professors and offering useful classes for everyone?

Uh, pretty sure that’s $3 million on divisiveness. Colleges. Turning folks against each other for decades. Anyone griping about not enough white guys or AAs on the bb team or fb team. How about not enough AAs on the swim team? Grrrrrrrr! If they want to be serious, then their teams should be representative of the population break down of the country.

I wonder what it’s like to be a parent and send your kid to college these days. Lets just say you travel in the middle. A little to the Left on some social issues and a little to the Right on things like fiscal policy, borders, defense and law & order. Pay out the whazoo for your kid and they come back a deranged Leftist. Wonder what that’s like.
You have your kid. You want the best for them, but they get indoctrinated by some radical professors and classmates. Can’t see anyone wanting to pay for that kind of treatment.
