Even in the BACK woods of Red Neck Alabama there is tons of soccer. I used to go to local adult weekend tournaments in Mobile and Birmingham in the 90's.

I am sure that THE GAME has only gotten more PLAYERS as well as more Fans since I left God's country for Texas.

I went to a Kaiserslautern (Germany) Rote Teufelen (Red Devils) game against Munich in 1994.

No seats. Had to stand up in between metal bars the entire game, and it was in the Winter and very cold.

If it wasn’t for the Glühwein (hot, spiced German wine) I would have froze and gone nuts.

The final score was 0-0.

Never more bored in my life.
