One of the suspects in the deadly Colorado school shooting is a bully who joked about shootings and threatened other students for years, a former friend said.
Kevin Cole used to go to STEM School Highlands Ranch, where one student was killed and eight others injured Tuesday in a shooting. Two suspects are in custody and will appear in court next week to hear the charges against them.
One of those alleged shooters was Devon Erickson, 18, who was once a friend of Cole's.
"They couldn't believe that he would actually do it, but they weren't entirely surprised that he did," Cole said of the suspect's friends.
Cole told CNN's Scott McLean on Friday that Erickson had a pattern of bullying, violence and jokes about mass shootings.
He would enter the classroom and say, "when the pencil hits the floor I'm going to start shooting." Then, he would spend the rest of class sporadically dropping pencils, Cole said of the suspect.
And sometimes, the "jokes" were more like threats.
"He would just get really close and kind of hunch himself over your shoulder as you were sitting down, and he would just whisper in your ear 'don't come to school tomorrow' and just kind of crack a smile and walk back to his seat," Cole said.
People would write it off as "that was just a Devon thing" and laugh, Cole said.
The two drifted apart after the alleged shooter started bullying Cole's brother, spreading rumors and spending class periods taunting him, he said.
The bullying never got physical with Cole's brother, he said, but it did with others.
The alleged gunman would get into fights when people he didn't like made him mad, Cole said. He described an incident in the eighth grade when he said the alleged gunman

I don't know. Are there modern-day "feminists"? Leftist activists today don't seem to bear any resemblance at all to the original fems. In fact, they seem to be making the opposite argument - that males dress and act one way, and females dress and act another, and if one sex merely acts like the other, then that person must be the opposite sex.
I might have missed other cases, but this is the first school shooting/killing in middle or high school where a shooter of foreign extraction, the father a Mexican illegal.
Quite a different picture emerges on college level where numerous killers (some of the stabbing) were foreign born.

Come to think of it, some of those old fems are still around (I already forgot about Hillary).
In the old days, the fems insisted that a woman can do anything a man can do.
So, as you pointed out, if men are competing in women’s sports, they really can’t complain.
Even when they try to complain (i.e. Martina Navratilova), they’re shot down quickly by the new leftists, who seem to believe hormone pills can change you from male to female.

I read one report that a student wished to assure us that the shooters didn't do what they did because they were liberal.
My thought was that the shooters did what they did because the shootees are liberal. Liberals are raising kids who grow up believing absolute nonsense and never hear those ideas contradicted.
At least many of the students walked out when liberals attempted to blame the guns. The students were chanting "mental health". Perhaps when students start chanting "evil people" we will see the start of healthy change.
I think I read the same report. Indeed, it’s clear that their political leanings were a big reason why they decided to commit murder.
